Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by omoeller Great Headset, Dongle a mess
Headset of great quality, battery is lower than expected but as it can be changed on the fly it does the trick for me. The required Dongle is a shame, like for other comments here my dongle is permanently attached to my docking station and does not move, nevertheless the plastic on the hinge broke within 5 months, a shame for such an expesive, professional headset. Not sure if/how I might be able to get a replacement ...

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Minneapolis Mom Really fragile Dongle, everything else is perfect
I love the range and sound quality. It is lightweight and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. It has really liberated me from my desk.
Mine came with two charges. One that is bulky and plugs into the wall. It is a great stand for the headset. The second is a USB charger that fits in the case, and can go with you on the go.
I am on my third dongle. The first one came broken, the second lasted me 11 months. I called Platronics, and they were happy to replace it for me, although I was quite close to the end of the warranty period. I was told that I only have three months warranty on the one they sent, so I assume that I will have to buy a new headset next year. If that is the case, it will not be this one. I cannot afford to buy an expensive headset every two years.
If they could fix the dongle, this would be the perfect headset.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by pvl1 The 420 - ridiculous chargning hardware
I bought this to use as a softphone on my laptop, and also to be able to listen to musing while working on my laptop. I travel - and work in datacenters quite often (loud environment). The dual headset design is great - but the charger is so bulky it doesn't actually fit in the case, and it's not USB so ...
Huge mistake buying this beast. Love the audio functionality, but poorly thought through charging means it's stuck back at the office more often than not.
A waste of my money.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by dfess Not at ALL like my old CS50
I purchased this to replace my old reliable CS50-USB because the battery was going out. The sound on the W445 is tinny and breaks up, even on the setting that is supposed to be the best for sound and even when I am sitting right next to the transmitter. It's supposed to work within 300 feet but when I put it on the setting that is supposed to be for shorter distances with more power, I cannot reliably get 25 feet away. The ear rest is very flimsy and difficult to put on quickly. The earbuds don't work right either. The ONLY good selling point for this as compared to my old CS50 is the hot swappable additional battery. I am very disappointed in this product. I may still return it.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Officeathlete87 Sounded great for 8 months then dongle broke
At first, I was very pleased with both the sound quality and reasonable battery life. Then the 90-degree joint on the dongle broke and the unit was useless. The replacement dongle costs almost as much as a completely new unit.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by andy90 Battery Issues
I work in a company where we are constantly making calls from our computer and most of us have the Savi 440, we are around 40 users with this product.
It is a good looking headset, the first month we didn't have problems, but in the second month the battery didn't last more that 30 minutes before it started to make noises and shuts down, the mic stopped working and even the battery runs out while is in the wall charger.
It is a very expensive headset for the problems it is giving, we can't complete the meeting anymore unless we use another telephone or we connect our mobile headphones

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dongle Killer Great sound quality, dongle keeps breaking
I'm on my third dongle. The hinge keeps cracking. It is a shame a plastic hinge on such an expensive headset is its failure point. When I've called for replacements, the CS rep says I'm the only one who has ever had this problem, making me feel like it has been my fault. I don't travel with the dongle, it just stays plugged into my laptop. The hinge should simply not fail every 3-6 months!
