Questions & Answers

How is the pellets fed into the fire? Pushed into the burnpot or dropped from above?

Asked by: Etr
The hopper is on top and the firebox on the bottom, but the pellet feed is electronically controlled. It only feeds a handful at a time and is very efficient.

Is this auto ignite or manual ignite. Also does it stay on all the time or goes on and off when calls for heat

Asked by: Bert6754

Do you install

Someone who is handy could do it, ladders and I don't do well together. Fortunately my builder installed it for only $50 plus parts.

Customer Reviews

2,200 sq. ft. Pellet Stove with 80 lb. Hopper and Auto Ignition is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 42.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from DOES NOT HAVE 5 YEAR WARRANTY Fyi this product doesn't have a legitimate 5 year warranty. The only item covered under a 5 year warranty is the door for loading pellets and it's metal hinges. Basically everything that costs legitimate money to fix only is covered under a 1 year warranty, and here's the kicker, your blower, ambient probe and burn box will all die after 1 seasons use. We properly maintained and serviced this stove throughout its burning and non burning seasons.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good stove, does what it says I purchased this stove this fall, it was much cheaper than the 3k+ stoves I looked at. I've burned 3 tons of pellets so far this year and it hasn't missed a beat. As with everything you buy maintenance is the key. If you follow the instructions and clean the hopper every 4 or five days you won't have an issue. Sure the glass gets dirty when it burns at a low heat for a long time but that gets cleaned when you vacuum the hopper. I haven't had any of the problem the other reviewers have talked about, I can fit more than 80lbs in the hopper, it does sound a bit like a slot machine when pellets drop and you do hear the blower but it's not terrible. Overall I think with good maintenance it should last 4 to 5 years

The living room, dining area and kitchen are all like one large room. The stove does okay for the living & dining area with the thermostat at 3/4, but not so in the kitchen and nothing in the bedrooms. I keep the bedroom doors closed and have small electric heaters when I'm in there. I don't know how they came up with 2,200 unless it was one big room with 8 ft. ceilings and the thermostat at max. It is also quite slow at starting, approx. 20 min. sometimes. For the price it's okay for my needs, but if for a larger house look for one that's more capable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Installed the stove two weeks ago, so far so good.... Installed the stove two weeks ago, so far so good. Keeps the house toasty warm, 70 to 74 degrees, with the thermostat set a little under half. Seems very efficient, a little noisy at times, but getting used to it. Easy to clean, most importantly, the wife is happy. Happy wife, happy life.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pellet Stove I did a lot of research before purchasing a pellet stove. This one has been GREAT so far! It keeps most of my 2000 sq ft home warm. I'd say 1200 sq ft of the house is heated really well. For the price and function I'd highly recommended this stove.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Stove I purchased this pellet stove Oct. 2013. Have been using it for about 4 months. ! would've rated it 5 stars... but yesterday the convection blower failed where the bushing sets in the rubber. The rubber came apart in 2 pieces. The stove is cleaned regularly & until now, I've had no issues. However... I don't particularly like the design of this bushing, & rubber, on the end of the blower cage. I hope it's not going to be a constant problem, it's really a NICE Stove, to let such a small part be such a large issue. Stove doesn't run without it. I'm waiting to a get replacement, hopefully under the warranty. But I would still recommend this stove to a friend, or family.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice stove This stove works very well. Just wish it turned on the same way every time. Sometimes it feeds too many pellets into the pot and does not ignite. When it does run properly it fires up fast.
