Very functional cosmetically attractive. Be prepared to have the fire pit pan rust out and fall off while you are using it. Be prepared for the lid to rust completely. Be prepared for the spark catcher to rust out and fall apart.
It was great for one season but everything happened by the beginning of the second. I used a high speed variable drill and some abrasive metal brushes to get the rust off of the metal cover but the collapse of the fire pit pan falling off while we were using it was totally unexpected. I'm pricing out the cost of a replacement pan.
Cosmetically it still looks great. But be prepared...

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Eodtek29 Simple assembly
this was purchased for my wife as a birthday present from her mother and the first thing that comes in mind is "oh great, just another project for this weekend". Let me tell you that it only took 10 minutes to assemble and all pieces were present. (Plenty of time to finish the corn-hole set). The only complaint that I have is the lid is smaller than the opening of the pit itself, this makes it awkward to place on the table and it's not a snug fit. Not cheaply made compared to everything else these days, good product overall.

I love the look of this pit, and was especially thrilled to figure out that putting a 20" tile across the top allowed me to use it as a coffee table, too! Unfortunately, after the first fire(which I cleaned out the next morning), the basin began to rust. From that point forward, I have diligently repainted the pit with Rustolium after EVERY fire. We've only used the pit about 10 times, cleaned and covered it with the tile every time, yet it is now on its last leg. Unless you are going to store it indoors, I suspect you will have the same problem.

Covered it and stored it in the shed over the winter. Tonight, i lit a fire and the bottom of the steel pan dropped out from too much heat... not worth the money... think I am going to buy a propane fueled one next...

Being Senior Citizens with arthritis, I was very pleased it wasn't difficult to put together. It is beautiful and we are looking forward to many evenings around it with family.

We purchased this product less than three years ago. Stored it in the dry over winter and kept it covered in season with a waterproof fire pit cover. The pan has rusted out, making it unusable.

Two years and the bottom completely rusted out. Actually a 12" square, along with the fire starter, dropped to the patio while we were burning logs. Thank goodness the hose was right there.
