It was a breeze to assemble and took only a few minutes. I used one of my own wrenches to tighten the bolts. Looking at the parts, you could figure out how to put it together without the directions. However, you need the directions just to know where to put the washers on the bottom bolt.

The rack includes all the nuts and bolts and even the tools you will need. I used my own wrench which is bigger and easier to use but their tools will work fine.
This is a quality wood rack, strong, and will do the job. It also looks nice full of wood ; )

You are correct that it comes in the box and needs to be assembled. It was rather easy to assemble and directions were provided.
However, it was missing parts and I had to contact customer service to have them send out the missing parts.
Once the parts came (10 days) it was put together and I am actually pretty happy with it.

I would imagine b/c of the feet could scratch the average flooring. You can use it indoors in the cellar. It's simple, metal and treated to not rust. about 45" long and 39" tall (wood storage area) and about 12" off the ground. I put about 1/3 cord of wood in it.

I have no idea as I would not hesitate to put this in my home. The rounded sides make it a pleasant design look. My only thought is that they don't want the cover, which could be flammable, in the house.

67br71: It might state that as most large firewood racks are used outdoors. Being that it's metal, I don't see a problem with it being in your cellar, but if I were you, I would put a small tarp under to catch the chips/bark that come with having a log pile. Stay warm!

Heck. It's just painted metal--You could use it anywhere! I can't figure why "outdoor use only," unless their lawyers were concerned about spontaneous combustion or something.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 100 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is an all metal 4 foot long wood rack that fit perfectly on our porch to keep wood ready to access from the front door. It was easy to assemble, is rugged, and looks good. I bought the cover that fits this rack to help keep the wood dry and also to keep the porch wall clean. I would recommend this product to anyone. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PRODUCT EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS I'm extremely happy with the product as it lived up to, and went beyond, the manufacturer's description. Clear, concise, instructions made it very easy to assemble and I'm especially impressed with the heavy duty construction which I was particularly concerned about at the time of my purchase. Overall, I'm completely satisfied with the product and that I was able to pick it up at my local Home Depot at no additional cost. September 13, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sadly, parts missing I purchased this online and picked it up at store. The tape was coming off the box and I should have asked them to open it while I was at the store, but didn't. When I opened the box at home to assemble the rack it became clear that the product had been opened before; the wire ties meant to hold the parts together during shipping had been removed, and the packet of nuts, bolts and washers had been opened, and someone had attempted to tape it, but unsuccessfully, because only 2 of the 8 nuts were on the card, another bounced out of the packing material, and 5 nuts were missing altogether. While all of the washers were there, one was defective, cut so that it would just fall off, like a torn gummed reinforcement. I called the number on the assembly instruction booklet for replacement parts and they are supposed to be sending them to me. I was able to assemble the rack successfully with parts from my husband's workbench. Assembly was straightforward, the instructions were easy to follow. It probably would have been easier to do this with another person, but it can be assembled by one person. I am using this to hold wood pellets for our pellet stove, so I decided to use a 4X4X4 across the spreaders to hold the bags better. It worked great...I also purchased the Two Dogs Designs 2D-LR Log Rack Cover and it looks like this will work great -- it just rained and it's all intact! October 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product This firewood rack was easy to assemble, sturdy and the price was right. June 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Meets our simple needs Perfect for what we needed . Holds 1/4 cord wood which is good for us as we only need it for the fire pit bonfires. October 18, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Inexpensive firewood rack Easy to assemble and met my price range. Will see how well it holds up to the elements. October 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Great product. Smaller size was perfect for what I needed. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Wood Rack I just built it in about 10 minutes, seems very sturdy. I loaded it with about 1/3 Cord of 16" long Eucalyptus firewood and it fit great. The 1/3 cord stacked about 1-2 logs higher than the side rails, but that's not an issue. Hold a lot! We'll see how it lasts through the season, but I'm sure it will. September 27, 2016
