I had my 2 teenage sons assemble it without any assistance from me - which they were able to do. I laid landscape fabric under the area that we put the log rack. Then I used bricks under the legs for stability. Next, I loaded it up to overflowing, staggering logs and twigs of different sizes. It's performing well. Glad I sprang for the heavy duty version!

I bought two of these and they are exactly what I wanted. They are very sturdy and they each hold a 1/2 cord of wood. Some reviews on lighter racks indicate they blow over when empty. I didn't want that, so I bought this one which weighs approximately 10 lbs more than others. I'm real happy with it. I also bought at Home Depot online, an 8 ft cover Model # 90478 and am equally happy with that.

Easy to assemble. Very sturdy pipe. Only suggestion for future buyers is to be sure that you add "feet" under the legs so the weight of the rack and wood doesn't push the legs unevenly into the ground. I used a single brick and it worked fine.

This rick rack has really done what I wanted to--it keeps the wood tidy and off the ground.

We set this up on an already-paved area away from our house. I would strongly recommend doing something similar if you can, or to be sure to create a sand/gravel/concrete block base for each of the 3 sets of legs. It was easy to assemble, and handled a full half cord of firewood with no problems. Seems like it's just what we were after. My husband did end up using his own ratchet to assemble it versus the little wrench that came in the box.
