Product Overview

Designed for a traditional masonry fireplace, the Pleasant Hearth Edinburg Collection Glass Fireplace Doors have prairie-inspired cabinet-styling with a 1-piece welded frame and high-heat, powder-coated gunmetal finish and 9-pane design. Constructed for a surface mount, these doors sit outside the fireplace opening against a flat surface and help reduce heat or cool air loss up the chimney by as much as 90% for year-round savings. Made with smoked tempered glass, these doors open completely so you can enjoy a full fireplace view and feature easy-catch magnets, easy-grip handles, thick heat-resistant insulation and hidden damper control knobs for airflow control. The premium mesh panels located behind the doors have easy-catch magnets and should always be closed and glass doors opened when you have a fire going. Simple to install in three easy steps, these fireplace doors add warmth, elegance and safety to your hearth and are fully assembled.

Answer:
The frames are different size. I think the medium and large may be the same with a 2" riser added for height on the large door. Their opening requirements are very accurate.

Do the fireplace dimensions have to exact for this door? The description of others give a size range but this one seems only one width and height.

If there is an opening range for this door; can you please let me know what it is. Does this or any of your doors come in clear glass instead of darkened?

Edinburg Large Glass Fireplace Doors is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasant Hearth Edinburg glass fireplace doors This fireplace enclosure is elegant simplicity at its finest! Beautifully crafted and installed easily. We are very pleased. We got them in the new color "gunmetal". A lovely contrast to our newly painted brick in a soft white.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product This fireplace door set does exactly what the manufacturer says it will do. The instructions were easy to follow; it took about 30 minutes to install. The only draw back is IF your bricks are not even, you will need to get some additional insulation. And because I read the reviews here, I did that. I had put off getting new doors because of the prices. The doors that were originally installed were the bright gold that was popular years ago (can't believe I actually thought they looked good). The design and finish of these doors dramatically improved the look of my living room. And there are no air leaks escaping from sides or top of the frame. I've been able to lower my thermostat by 2 degrees since we installed them. Bonus was the reduced price! I ordered on line with in store pickup and the price was reduced by $60.00.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved these doors so much, we bought two sets! We purchased these fireplace doors for a renovation property that we did a few months ago. The doors were BEAUTIFUL! So beautiful and functional, that two months later, we bought another set for our own home fireplace! The finish is great and the doors look awesome. These doors are a terrific deal. They make any fireplace look expensive, and they keep the draft from coming into the house. We love them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Buy I checked other places and found this one to be the better made and looks great. The price is very low for what you get. It took me about 20 mins. to install. My fireplace is large and I could see a small opening in one side and at the top. I went back to Home Depot and got two angle and one peace of flat bar metal to put on the inside ($25.00). It worked, You can not beat what I got for what I paid. Why pay $1,500.00 when you get this for around $300.00.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product substantially well built We purchased the glass doors to replace simply fire screening. It is very well made and it is not the cheap sheet metal enclosure you see for less money. The color is gun metal gray which is a darker gray. I think the picture shows it as a little lighter gray. But still a great color. Our neighbor wanted to get one for his heatilator fireplace and the instructions specifically stated for Masonary only....I see no reason why this would not work on a manufactured fireplace with some installation adjustments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeds hoped for energy savings! While the installation took slightly longer than planned due to the interior configuration of our fireplace, it was a fairly basic process. Secret: It makes the room feel larger to no longer have a gaping hole peering at us like the pupil of a monster's eye. The gorgeous finish and classic design make this a best-seller as far as my family is concerned: it is so nice to have the room "finished". We purchased this particular set of doors for looks and the "up to 90%" reduction on heating cost. I would say we definitely received our money's worth as our electric bill usually runs between $487--$504 a month during the winter and in the short time the doors have been installed, our bill has dropped to $177 without turning the thermostats down or feeling cold.
