Finish color is darker than what was represented in product photos. And left door does not align top to bottom. The top fits properly, the bottom pulls away from the frame 1/4" and the magnets will not hold it in place. I have made every adjustment possible without resolution. I tried apllying pressure top to bottom without resolution. From several feet away it is not real noticeable but isnt right. For the price I did not expect a finely machined piece with perfect tolerances but I did expect better than this. Not a deal-breaker but a disappointment. I have Coronet model o my lower level fireplace that I am pleased with.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Grandior at it's best.
I purchased the door after searching a few sites right before Christmas.Doors were received and installed in time for Christmas. I love the look and they were fairly easy to install with a little help....I am a single mother and grandmother, I got a little help from my grandson ....the fireplace doors added a richness to the area... love the... the one concern is the closure is not as tight as I would like it ... but is a great added feature to the room..

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by Reno2013 Much easier than anticipated
I needed a fireplace door because after removing an old wood burning insert that had been incorrectly installed in a house I'm renovating, I discovered there is no damper in the fireplace. Fireplace doors were a much cheaper solution until I can cough up the money to fully rehab the fireplace and chimney. After reading reviews, I was dreading installing these doors. Turns out installation was very simple. I'm sure it helped that my fireplace measurements all fell within the range for the simpler installation. It took less than 30 minutes and I did it without assistance. As I read in other reviews, the antique brass hardly looks brass at all. It definitely has more gold tones in it than a bronze finish would, though, which is exactly what I needed to match the finish on the chandalier in the same room. The doors shut tightly and were not damaged at all, contrary to what I've read in other reviews. The finished product looks beautiful!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0Â by RodM A fireplace door that can't be near fire...huh?
This replaced a fireplace door that was purchased 20 years ago for 1/2 the price. I expected for double the price (with inflation) I'd have gotten, at the very least, the same quality and features. Boy, was I wrong.
First lets start with the fact that this is a fireplace door...but they didn't use tempered glass? All over the manual and stickers on the door it says "Do not close door when fire is burning." What? Isn't that part of the purpose?
Next is the screen. It is not a screen that can be easily slid open, they are solid doors inside the glass doors. There is also no insulation on the handles which are right in the middle of the height and width of the opening...if you touch them to open them you get burned. Ridiculous. Also, the doors need to be COMPLETELY open in order to open the screens all the way. I keep a stack of wood next to the fireplace so I cannot open one door enough to allow the screen door to be opened more than about 60 degrees.
The instructions say to not let the fire get closer than 6 inches to the door. Now my fireplace is large and deep but I've seen many that are only about 10-12 inches deep so do they expect you to only light 1 log on fire? How do you manufacture a fireplace door that cannot be near fire?
Do you see the vents along the top and bottom? They are NOT vents! They are simply a decorative feature! The "adjustable vents" they mention are 3 little tiny holes inside of the glass doors...since you can't have a fire going with the doors closed I guess that's not much of a problem (ahem) but they are so small they have no affect at all on the fire. More air leaks in underneath than those holes could ever provide.
As others have stated, the doors do not align properly and are really not adjustable. The problem is that the glass is mounted to the metal pieces on the top and bottom crookedly. My doors cannot be closed completely because of this. I am very handy and spent close to an hour trying to fix this before I gave up.
On the positive side, it installs easily and very securely and it looks very nice. If you have a fireplace that you don't want to use then this is the door for you! If you actually use your fireplace, buy a different door.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0Â by Mack Like the openings of the screens & doors. Great looking
Had to adjust for the doors to stay in the opening, a couple of brackets solved the problem. The door closing could be lined up better, is a bit off, not enough to be real concerned about, but I'm sure a draft can get through. Overall though, we are happy with the product, looks great.
