Product Overview

Plexidor Pet Doors do not require costly vinyl replacement flaps. The unique shatter resistant dual-thermo pane Plexiglass panels open and close with a gentle push and automatically close tight without banging. Each panel is lined around all four edges with snug fitting, high density, industrial nylon pile weather seal to provide superior draft control. When closed, the panels reduce air conditioning and heat loss. So whether you live in the hot desert climate of Arizona or in the frigid cold of Alaska, Plexidor will save you money every month. Your pet will love the smooth, quiet and safe doors and you'll love seeing a lower energy bill.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by This is a beautiful product but I am not sure it is worth the $500+. This is so much more attractive than the average dog door. I thought the door style would be great for my dogs as it seemed more natural for dogs that are used to nosing doors open. I have noticed a few drawbacks: first, with multiple dogs going out (or in) the door, the lead dog pushes it open, but the second dog gets whacked in the face by swinging doors. Since my dogs had never had a dog door, this negative experience extended the learning curve. Secondly, the door is not forgiving of indecision. When my dog pokes his head out to consider a foray into the yard, but changes his mind and tries to pull his head in, his face gets smushed and stuck in the swinging doors. Ironically, my smart dog is the one having problems with the door. The simple dog just blazes right through. I actually kind of wish I could switch out these doors, but the frame and consruction are great. I bought "bronze" which is actually just brown metal. A bonus is that I don't think my cat could push the doors open. I'd probably still recommend it. I live in Colorado but haven't seen it through a winter yet, so I can't speak to how it does in snow or rain. September 4, 2012
