Can I use Pole-Wrap to cover SQUARE POSTS?
Yes, this product will fit square posts too. Pole-Wrap is flexible paneling consisting of half inch wide slats on a pliable backing. A standard 4 inch square post measures 3½ inches on each side. Pole-Wrap only offers round cap and base column molding, but if desired you can easily and inexpensively finish the top and bottom of your finished square post with regular straight crown and base molding. This is available at any general home improvement, millwork or lumber store. Use a miter saw to make 45º molding cuts for each corner and frame your finished post where it meets the floor and ceiling. Finally, finish to match your decor with paint, stain or just two coats of polyurethane Read Less

You can cover square poles with Pole-Wrap. Most posts are standard 4x4 In. and we recommend our 16x96 In. size Wrap. Our 48x96 in. size wrap is most economical for projects with more than two posts. Simply cut the length and width to fit and then install with construction adhesive. We do not have a Cap & Base set available for square posts, but your local lumberyard probably has a wide variety of Read More

Pole-Wrap can be used for outdoor applications, i.e. pergolas, simply prime and paint with an oil based (not latex) exterior product. Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very happy with it This is a super easy and inexpensive way to finish the look of a basement. I also Got the cap and base which is a must have. It's just a big glue project other than cutting the height and width. I used a miter saw to cut the height and a utility blade for the width. I used the scrap from the height cut to figure up the width. Just note there will be a little extra width for the glue. simple and easy. It came with directions recommending masking tape to hold it in place while the glue drys. I was thinking clamps originally but the tape worked great. I did use clamps on the base just because it's a 4 pc base and I just wanted it all glued at once. Once the glue was dry and I removed the tape and clamps and all that was left was caulk and paint. Just remember "Caulk and Paint makes a trim carpenter what he aint". Ha November 4, 2014
