Product Overview

The Atrium5 loudspeaker steps up the sonic performance with a 5-inch driver that produces high fidelity sound quality anywhere you want great sound. The speaker’s mineral-filled polypropylene cabinet can stand up to the elements year round. And its new one-handed Speed-Lock mounting system makes installation fast, easy and safe. The mounting bracket even enables a 45 degrees angled mount aiming down into a listening area.

  • 5-in. (12.7cm) long-throw mineral-filled polypropylene cone driver with butyl rubber surround pumps out surprising bass response from a compact design
  • 3/4-in. (19mm) anodized aluminum dome tweeter with rubber surround and neodymium magnet for better power handling and smoother response
  • Broad coverage baffle design, adapted and applied from our current atrium design but with subtle improvements in the new atrium Series, you want to fill a large open outdoor space with big, full-range sound, the new atrium series has a more steeply-angled baffle design that maximizes critical mid- and high-frequency dispersion over a large area, without sacrificing the detail
  • Polk all-weather certified, atrium series speakers exceed baseline industrial and military specifications for environmental endurance (ASTM D5894-UV salt fog, mil standard 810 immersion, mil-std 883 method 1009.8 for salt and corrosion.) certification means atrium speakers can effortlessly withstand the worst mother nature can dish out, whether its extreme temps or heavy rains, with certification like this, your kitchen or bathroom installation is a cakewalk for polk all-weather speakers
  • Durable, mineral-filled polypropylene cabinet design, with molded-in bracing, sounds like a real speaker (not "an outdoor speaker"), and survives years of seasonal changes, for truly great sound, no matter what the weather
  • Patented dynamic balance and klippel optimization technologies ensure the perfect material performance, eliminating driver and tweeter "artifacts" for more realistic sound reproduction at high and low volume levels
  • Aluminum grilles and bracket, with stainless steel and brass hardware: No rust, ever
  • Gold-plated 5-way binding posts for the most secure, dependable hookups

100- Watt 2 Way Freestanding Atrium5 All-Weather Outdoor Loudspeaker(White) with 5 in. Subwoofer-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Speaker I bought these speakers 13yrs ago and installed them in the cockpit under the rear rail seats of the sailboat. Talk about an ugly environment. They sound great. Never a problem. Love them. Put a second set in the salon cabin. Overkill? Of course. Went to order speakers for the outside covered patio recently and accidently order the Atruim 4. Not even close. They sound like I forgot to take them out of the box before installing them. Just ordered the Atruim 6 to replace the 4's. Overkill? Hope so. If you are looking of some nondescript background music sound then Atrium 4's are going to do just fine. I you want good separation and notice the difference in the sound (some people don't really notice, can you believe that) then up grade at least to the Atruim 5's or higher. My 13years old ones are like tanks, in a good way, and going strong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sounding speakers I have had my pair of Atrium 6 speakers for about a 1 1/2 years. They are located on my patio about 10ft up tucked under the eves and approx. 20ft apart. These speaker are as advertised and better. When I have guests over and we are out back I receive compliments all the time on how good the music sounds. Great job Polk. By the way I just purchase a pair of Atrium 5 for my spa area I will let you know how I make out. Thanks Polk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I got these to replace some Yamaha NS-AW350's outside. I got some great help from Polk tech support who answered by questions pre buy. The Atrium 6 met my needs and budget. The sound is much clearer, and the biggest improvement has been in the bass the Polk's provide over my previous speakers. These are outside wall mounted under the roof overhang for a 20x20 deck and are hooked up to a basic 100 per channel receiver. So far highs to lows sound good for a speaker this size. I looked a few other speakers in stores and online, but I found these at a great price and they were the best bang for the buck. Installation was easy, 2 screws per bracket and snap the speaker in place basically. The sound is easily heard over the whole deck. I look forward to enjoying these for a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These sound excellent. Fill up a large back yard completely and crystal clear, with just the right amount of thump. If you are reading this then all you need to decide is which new Atrium to get, so don't wait any longer. Thank you Polk Audio for putting out excellent products. I will never buy another speaker from a different maker ever. wOw

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best value outdoor speaker for the money without exception! I have not been able to experience the bigger Polk outdoor speakers but I dont think they could be much better than these.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Rating I should have reaziled i'd get what i paid for. these subs are rated for 500w a piece. I bought a high end infinity 1000w mono amp with built in fan at best buy to power these which should be more than adequate to power these subs. however, they hit like i've got them hooked to a 300w amp. these subs are POWER HOGS. i'm guessing it would at least 1500w to power them like normal subs but all the extra work and $ you would have to put in to make these perform correctly, you could get some higher end subs instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought the atrium 5 when they first came out. I was looking for Bose outdoor speakers at the time. I went to Fry's in Alpharetta, Ga. I was in the speaker room and started listening to all the outdoor speakers. I cranked up the Bose and a few others. After listening, I found out that Polk had a better sound! I'm currently trying to finish my back patio with overhang porch, I do have the speakers out in the garage and the sound quality matches Bose!
