Hi There! We would not advise you use your grill in this manner as this could become a safety hazard.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this grill, second one like this I have purchased! We use this grill for camping. It is very easy to put together and haul around and the legs come off for easy storage. This is the second grill like this we have purchased. The carrying bag that you can purchase to store it in is also very nice. June 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding portable grill I've owned mine for at least 10 years- and it still looks and works great. The igniter still starts the grill on the first or second push. It heats up fast and stays hot. I still have the original burner, and only last year replaced the grate and flavor wave plate. I do clean it regularly for best performance- grease can build up quick in a small grill. It might not look as contemporary as some of the W-Q grills, but it performs great and is durable. I highly recommend it for a portable grill-and have to several friends who now own the same grill. May 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sturdy and well built. The grill I had fell apart the weekend before labor day and I needed a new one for the holiday. I checked different stores and on line and I saw this one. I read the reviews from different sites and was pretty impressed. I ordered it on the Monday before labor day and I received it on Wednesday, just in time for camping on Thursday. It was very easy to assemble and it works GREAT! The temperature range is excellent, all the other gas grills I've had always seem to have one temp . . . HIGH. The size is perfect and it's nice not having to waste space on the table for other grills that size. I wish it came with a warming rack but I called the company and they sent me one, for a few bucks. I also purchased a carrying bag made for the PortaChef and I was impressed with that too. Very good quality and it doubles as a grill cover. In case you haven't noticed, I am very happy with my purchase! September 6, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Little BBQ We bought this BBQ about two months ago to take with us I our RV. There is plenty of heat off this little BBQ and there is plenty of room for 4 plus steaks. We bought this BBQ because it had legs and we were not looking for a separate stand that would take up space like some others. This one is light, very stable. I can put a dozen hamburgers on the BBQ and they cook great. It has a single burner so you have to realize the deter will be a little hotter.....no bigger because the difference is slight, bit there. Would I buy it again, you bet. You could use this BBQ at home with ease. Great product. September 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product! We purchased it eight months ago to use when camping. Previous BBQs that we owned took forever to warm up let alone cook the food. The Porta-Chef is awesome! It's like having your backyard BBQ with you. February 18, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent grill for limited space I have used it 3 times already in temperatures between -10 and 0C and it performed quite well considering the low BTU. It was extremely easy to assemble and most parts fit perfectly except for the burner: two pins at one end did not fit in the two mounting holes on the grill. I had to use my drill and make one of the holes 2mm bigger. Nothing horrible. The legs are sturdier than I had expected and they come off easily for transport or storage, which was the main selling point for me. The only downsides I can think of are that it's pretty low so if you're 6 feet or taller you'll probably need a chair or you risk getting a stiff back after an hour of grillin'. I was also disappointed that it didn't come with the warming rack (SKU 10225-T247), even though you can see the holes to mount one and I had seen the same model in the past with a warming rack already installed. Other than that, perfect grill for someone with limited space! February 2, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Brought me back to gas I bought this grill for camping with kids. While it's a little small it's perfect for a four person family. It sets up and takes down easily. (I recommend a duffel bag for storage.) It heats up quickly. But most of all it cleans easily. A lot of grease will accumulate in the bottom but is easily wiped out with some paper towels and degreaser to finish. July 27, 2014
