The Porta-Jack Pro Hardwood Flooring Jack conveniently wedges planks into position using more than 1 ton of force, freeing up installers to securely nail them into place. This floor installation tool from Porta-Nails really comes in handy when laying boards close to a wall, and is especially useful when crooked or bowed strips need to be straightened out for proper alignment. When used against a wall, the smooth, Teflon-coated base won’t harm prefinished floors that have already been laid. In its other capacity, the removable shoe allows it to be anchored in the field of flooring to coax your next string of timber into position. Use this commercial-grade jack for all of your hardwood installation jobs and save yourself the time, energy and frustration of trying to muscle floor boards into place.

  • Pushes or pulls flooring strips to tighten and hold them in place for nailing
  • Can be used against the wall and has a removable shoe to allow the jack to be used in the middle of the floor
  • Includes 2 knob screws for easy front lip removal
  • Durable powder-coated finish stands up to heavy-duty use in commercial applications
  • Suitable for use on solid hardwood and engineered wood flooring planks

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Built like a tank! What a hefty tool! Why I ever used the old crowbar technique for so long I'll never know. This jack freed me up to drill and hand drive nails with a palm nailer. When necessary, I used a waste piece of T&G flooring between the jack and the row to bring the jack closer to the wall. Another piece of waste flooring worked well between the jack and the baseboard to prevent marring the paint. The ratchet action allowed me to get the pull strength I needed, but I had to be careful not to break the baseboard! It is amazing how much force you can get out of this tool! The only issue I had with it was the handle; it wanted to unscrew all the time. I'll apply thread seizing before the next floor project to prevent this. This probably happened because of the way I would move the tool along the floor. The tool is rather heavy, and was a two-handed job to move along the floor without potentially scratching the finish. It is definitely a time saver! June 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Flooring Jack This jack makes the installing the last few strips of flooring a cinch! All of the pros I talked with recommended using a flooring jack to get the last few strips tight before I nailed with a finish nailer. The ratchet system was smooth and the holding power created was tremendous. The jack even has a front plate that is easily removed to allow for use in tightening a bowed board in the middle of the floor. This is a must for any doing a hardwood floor if you want pro results. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Must have tool for hardwood installation First time installer on a rental property and putting down 800 sq ft of hickory. This tool is invaluable in close to the wall situations and to straighten bowed lumber. Great value too! September 6, 2013
