Answer:
No. This unit must be oiled "daily". Heavy use such as a few hours a day would entail a daily oil. I put 2 drops in just before I use it as it sits inactive for a month or so at a time.

I have this nailer and have used all the name brand brad nails in it & haven't had a problem with any of them. Porter Cable brad nail packs can be found on a popular auction site very inexpensive frequently.

Bump Trigger replacement

This question is from 18-Gauge Pneumatic Brad Nailer Kit
Asked by
Louisville, KY
Read all my Q&A
February 4, 2016
The manual states,
"In accordance with the ANSI Standard SNT-101-2002, the PORTER-CABLE nailers are
assembled with a sequential action trigger. NOTE: However, a bump action trigger kit may be
purchased."
Has anyone done this? Comments?

Answer:
I've replaced the original red trigger with the black bump trigger on the FN250C, pretty easy straight forward change, makes it so the unit fires with contact while holding trigger in. I had a kit that came with the trigger, but I know you can contact Porter and ask for the trigger, not sure if there is a charge for it or not now. Hope this helps.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Good First Brad Nailer You want your first time to be memorable, and that's what you get with Porter Cable. Easy to operate, brads slide in easily and exit with that satisfying pffft that tells you you've nailed straight and true. For those without much experience, you cannot match the price and ease of use. Perfect for small jobs. March 22, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Quality Parts This nail gun lasted 3 weeks before bursting an O-ring inside the mechanism. I'm a DIY-er so it does not get used very often. I probably only shot 250 nails through the gun before it stopped working. Luckily the parts were cheap but an added $12 standard shipping for a $0.03 o-ring is a bit much. Spend a few more dollars on a better quality tool than this one. July 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent nailler I purchased a Porter Cable Compressor - Finish Nailer Kit 2 years ago and was very happy with the product. Two months ago when I needed a brad nailer for a project I went with the same manufacturer without hesitation. Very satisfied with results. I probably could have waited for a sale....but like I stated, I needed it for a project I was in the middle of. No regrets. The garage Beverage Cabinet came out great. June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good value. Good nailer and easy to adjust. All my trim nailers are Porter Cable. This makes my forth. June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Time Tested I am a DIYer and have been using a Porter-Cable Brad Nailer for years. Obviously, mine is the older model, but, it still works great. I cannot tell you how many times it has helped me with my projects and the confidence I have every time I use it. Great tool ! Fonsie May 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great on price and built tough Nailer works very well. I didnt give it 5 stars because on 2 occasions the nailer spit out 2 nails with a single trigger and messed up my trim a bit. Other than that it has worked very nice! May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great tool. This is a great tool I really enjoy. I use this on the weekends and not daily so keep that in mind. I'm sure it could get the job done daily though. Great price for a great product. Hasn't jammed and it's been a little over a year so far. May 11, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good addition to your tools I liked the fact it was oilless and was ready to go right out of the box. It worked well for me. May 10, 2016
