Having owned this Porter Cable nailer now for just over 1.5yrs, can say without a doubt I made the right decision in my purchase. Looked at many guns in this category, different vendors, 21° vs. 34°, plastic strip collated vs. paper tape nails, etc. This light-weight gun never misfires, this gun uses paper-tape collated nails & those are less expensive then the plastic collated nails the 21° nail guns use, so no plastic debris from discharging nails flying all over the place & needing to be cleaned up. This FC350B shoots both clipped-head & full-head paper-tape collated nails, a great bonus. Haven't shot anything larger then 3-1/4" nails, but it sank all the way into the wood material with ease, make sure you add a drop or two of air tool oil when using it. I added this gun to my Porter Cable collection of pneumatic guns, only missing the 15-gauge DA gun. By far thoroughly satisfied with PC guns, ease of use, ease of cleaning as the firing areas are easily accessible to clean. The nail guns & staplers take multiple varieties of nail manufacturers, Paslode being my nail of choice if HD is out of Porter Cable nails/brads/staples. You won't go wrong with the purchase of this nailer, or any Porter Cable nailer. The gun also comes with a nice heavy-duty plastic molded carry case & small bottle of air tool oil, descriptive owners manual & an extra bump stop for the gun.

After a lot of research i bought this item. First i purchased the 21* model FR350B and returned it for the FC350B. FR is for Round head and FC is for Clipped head nails. However the FC350B uses both round or clipped in the paper collated form. This makes your gun compatible with many on the market and out in use in the field today. Helpful when buying and sharing nails with other friends/contractors. After researching the paper collated nails; they are said to be safer as the paper gets desintigrated in the worked product. Whereas the plastic on the 21* FR nails get lodged in the mechanism or ejected. Even with goggles or protective eye wear you don't want to have to think about cast off while working...either for the user or others and you certainly don't want to spend time unjaming your gun. The FC is 30* angle which sets the nail cartridge closer to the handle providing more compact space to fire in close spaces. You'll appreciate it when its needed, but seems second nature while working with it. Both models come with a case, rafter/belt hook, two cushion heads, and adjustable exhaust. Great accessories for the price that many other manufactures lack. Get the industrial fittings for your compressor hook up.

It is great if you are putting nails straight in for construction purposes. But for angling/toenailing siding it just doesn't have the impact that it needs. The nails only go in about half-way.

I have a large assortment of Porter Cable air nailers including the FR350A but when I was out shopping on Black Friday, I could not believe that they were practically giving away this gun for a buck-29. I couldn't get this thing in the basket quick enough and I've been using it every day since. To compare the two guns, the FR350A is a workhorse but this gun can run circles around it on every level. The FR is a round head only using plastic collated 22 deg nails and weighs ~15 pounds. The FC will take both round or clipped head paper collated in the 30-34 deg range, weighs ~7.5 pounds and has has been redesigned to drive 3.5" nails in engineered lumber. The gun comes equiped with Tool-lessTrigger Selection, Tool-less Depth Adjustment, Framers Hook, Low-Nail Lockout, Case, Oil, Allen Wrench, & Manual. As of today, you can still get this gun at this incredible price but you will have to do some looking as most stores sold out quickly.

Allways ran hitachis, last one became more and more problematic. Priced rebuilding, decided to buy new instead, had the same hitachi i was replacing for exact same price but the rafter hook and a few other features caught my eye and altered my decision. Kinda was regretting it at first so i kept it in the box for a bit and dealt with my old hitachi for another week. Read review after review and finally fired it up and couldnt be happier!! Time will tell i guess but so far so good!

I bought this nailer for basement finishing work. the nailer is solid and works very well with my 3 gallon compressor. The only this is the size of the rear end. When I set up the frames on the floor it doesn't allow me to be totally parallel to the basement floor because the rear of the nailer is fat. I like to keep my tools perfectly clean with no scratches so I placed some tape where the nailer would scrap against the basement floor while framing the walls on the floor.
Very good purchase and I would do it again.

I was building a shed and needed a hammer. This tool did the job in both roughing in the floors and walls but did an excellent job on the roof with the osb board. Nice tool.
