Rated 2.1 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Worked for a while Had this compressor for 3 years. I have the same issue others has with it leaking air by the compressor piston. I took it apart and fixed it once but the problem returned. The air tools were good. It is the old addage if you spend too much for something you risk losing some money. If you spend too little you risk losing it all. I have to toss this compressor away and buy a new one now. I will upgrade to a better unit this time. October 20, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by big compressor in a little package I'm a finishing carpenter, I chose this compressor because it was: 1 - small. its very easy to carry around a house without bumping into walls. 2 - lightweight. I can pick it up with one hand and put it in my truck box), 3 - quiet. Its not whisper quiet, but its alot quieter than my old compressor 4 - even though its small, lightweight and quiet, it still has alot of power! I was pretty suprised at how well this compressor did. my old compressor was a 3hp dual tanker that put out 6cfm @ 90psi and would drive about 30 18ga. brads at 100psi before it would kick on and would take about 20 seconds to re-fill (it was also a backbreaker at 80lbs!) the C2004-WK was pretty close to that! i can drive about 25 18ga. brads at 100psi before it kicks on and runs for 25-30 seconds to re-fill. not too bad for a compressor that weighs 37lbs! There are a few things i dont like about it as well. The fittings that come with it are junk, I changed those as soon as it came out of the box. HomeDepot has the good ones, its an extra $16 and its worth it. another things is the pressure regulator, its not very smooth. it takes a bit of turning to get the line pressure to change, but its not that big of a deal. overall, I really like this compressor, it was a good choice! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good for overall use, except pro tools Being a computer IT tech, I used to spend a fortune on disposable compressed air cans, now with this I'll be saving both my wallet & the environment. In just a few minutes (2~5), the pump will generate enough air at the right PSI to do computer clean up jobs, making it quick and easy. This unit compared to its bigger brother (6 gal, 150 PSI, 82 dB), is perfect for a small computer shop; when I tried the big one, it was waaaaaay toooo loud!, it felt like a train was coming through the room, but this smaller 4gal 75.5 dB version is no louder than your average industrial grade vacuum cleaner, which is a big bonus The unit might be smaller, but It still generates enough SCFM for most other applications like painting, cleaning, nailing, etc.. just not powerful enough to drive an impact wrench for the garage, or other power tools that requires more than 2.6 SCFM This is the perfect unit to keep around the house/shop or take with you for on site jobs, as it's light and portable. The big bro 6gal is also portable, but not as light and definitely not something you want to take with you for a house call with all the noise it generates. Note for fellow IT junkies; you'll have to make your own spray nozzle for computer works, the ones you can buy in store are no where near adequate, nor provides high enough pressure to blow clean the hard stuff stuck on the electronics. I ended up creating my own needle for that purpose, using some recycled parts from old air canisters, heat, rubber, needle, a heat gun, and some ingenuity. November 23, 2010
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Won't Last This is the second one of these that has gone up in puff of smoke. The surface on the motor shaft where the brushes contact it is so thin and apparently weak that after a relatively short amount of time of normal use they just wear away and begin chewing the remainder of the brushes. I am a contractor and have 2 other larger compressors so I am not asking it to more than it is supposed to do. I used it to run finish guns only. As I said this is the second one to fail in exactly the same way after 13 months of use. Steer clear of this one. March 29, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by C2004-WK 4 GAL. PORTABLE ELECTRIC AIR COMPRESSOR I kept this in my garage for emergency air purposes. It at times continually kicked on to restore pressure. When checking the front plastic covering there was loads of air coming out. I did discover the fault was at the tubing from the piston to the air tank. Don't know if this a manufacturing error or not. I cannot depend on this compressor..........it was always recycling when in my garage. September 12, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Broke after light usage of about a year. I bought one of these almost 2 years ago, but only started using it this year - light usage on half dozen minor jobs and filling a car tire a couple of times. It developed a leak somewhere in the head and unfortunately I did not have an extended warranty -- mainly because I expected it to last a little longer than that! Buy another brand. Very disappointing. December 27, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Leaks after little use Used this unit for only 2 hours in one year. Seven days after warranty expired a leak developed in the upper portion of unit. The leak seems to come from a tube that connects to the head of the unit. Seems like this is a regular problem for this compressor ,in other reviews. Waste of hard earned money in my opinion.
