Nailer used to install wood flooring?

Reviewers keep saying they used this nailer to install wood flooring. But does this nailer's head fit well into T&G flooring? I looks like you just have to hold it in the right place (you hope) if you're using it for this purpose. Has anyone used this for T&G flooring?

Answer:
I haven't used and wouldn't use this nailer to lay flooring.
From many sq ft of laying 3/4" T&G flooring, you want a nailer designed for the job ... the fasteners are much more robust than 16 ga "nails" and they're consistently driven at the proper angle and proper depth.

I did put down a floor with this compressor and gun, but I was unable to use the grooves to secure the floor, I set and filled the nails after putting the floor down.

One way of looking at this is to say 'brad' nails is the size between 'pin' and 'finish' nails.
Pins nails have no heads and are meant to position and hold trim while glue dries.
Finish nails in 16 ga are medium-duty fasteners; great for attaching casings and heavy trim to cases; most/all are galvanized and have serious holding power by themselves.
Brad nailers/staples fall in between. Some will call Read More

I need a part for this porter cable pancake compressor. Where do i go? It is the large black knob in front that regulates pressure the plastic seat has broken where the needle valve sits in.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 58 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Came out f the box with scratches on the bottom so I'm not sure if it was a return. Haven't used the nailer attachment just yet but the compressor is working just great with the upholstery stapler. It's loud and still makes me jump when it refills. October 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Compressor worked right away and nail gun has worked great for baseboards. October 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Homeowner / DIY I purchased this item to make replacing baseboards and other house trim quick and easy. I've never used a nailer before, but setup to use this item was intuitive. It'll never get hard use here, so no idea how durable it is. Sure beat using a hammer. Not huge, so it stores easily.. though compressors are pretty noisy as a whole. October 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 2 broken in 24 hours Bought this, got it home and discovered that somehow a broken one (that was returned) made it back into the sales floor. Renovation progress stopped that evening while I tried swapping. Customer service was helpful at a different store that had another in stock, so I drove across town to swap it out. That one was clearly new and unopened. Next evening after my day job I started up the renovations again and this one had a leaky regulator. Returned it and am now back to looking for a compressor. I can't trust this brand. The nail gun seemed fine, but my time is not worth all the hassle trying to find a compressor that works. Customer service was great, but after the second failure they should've done something to make it right And make sure I left with something to accomplish my task. Now I will have to shop around which may land me at a competitor's store trying to find one on my own. The other reviews at 4 stars are misleading maybe because it's the package combo... the reviews on JUST the compressor mirror my experiences with this same compressor. October 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Compressor/Nailer Combo I went to Home Depot to buy a nail gun to use for the wood base and door casing that I was changing out in my home. Originally, I thought that I was going to have to buy a compressor and nail gun separately. The associate that helped me was very knowledgeable and showed me this combo kit. A 16-gauge nail gun was exactly what I was looking for so for $199 I grabbed this and was out the door. This product works great. I have to admit, the fitting was leaking air where the hose connects to the nail gun. After every nail that I shot, I had to go to the tank and adjust the pressure back up so that I could shoot another nail. I took it back to the store and they swapped it out for another one. This one works great. The compressor is VERY easy to use, as well as the hose and the nail gun, especially for someone that had never used one before. So instead of borrowing one of these, I now own an awesome air compressor (that I can use to inflate my car tires) and an awesome nail gun. Highly recommended. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by awesome deal I built a privacy fence in our backyard this spring and this tool was invaluable to the process. I decided to buy instead of rent and couldn't be happier with this product. It will really come in handy for future projects. the only con I have is that it is a little loud at times but get ear plugs. May 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome for fence lattice repair Awesome never used one and it was so easy find he'd job in record time. This is fantastic, I'm hooked April 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gets the job done Very loud compressor (wouldn't expect otherwise) but lightweight and gets the job done. It has intuitive controls and helped me install 800 sqft of flooring with no qualms. Same goes for the finish nailer -- gets the job done. The only suggestion I'd have is for a little bottle of lubricating oil to be included as was with a floor nailer I bought separately. March 17, 2016
