I purchased this item to make replacing baseboards and other house trim quick and easy. I've never used a nailer before, but setup to use this item was intuitive. It'll never get hard use here, so no idea how durable it is. Sure beat using a hammer. Not huge, so it stores easily.. though compressors are pretty noisy as a whole.

Bought this, got it home and discovered that somehow a broken one (that was returned) made it back into the sales floor. Renovation progress stopped that evening while I tried swapping. Customer service was helpful at a different store that had another in stock, so I drove across town to swap it out. That one was clearly new and unopened. Next evening after my day job I started up the renovations again and this one had a leaky regulator. Returned it and am now back to looking for a compressor. I can't trust this brand. The nail gun seemed fine, but my time is not worth all the hassle trying to find a compressor that works. Customer service was great, but after the second failure they should've done something to make it right And make sure I left with something to accomplish my task. Now I will have to shop around which may land me at a competitor's store trying to find one on my own. The other reviews at 4 stars are misleading maybe because it's the package combo... the reviews on JUST the compressor mirror my experiences with this same compressor.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MistaC Great Compressor/Nailer Combo
I went to Home Depot to buy a nail gun to use for the wood base and door casing that I was changing out in my home. Originally, I thought that I was going to have to buy a compressor and nail gun separately. The associate that helped me was very knowledgeable and showed me this combo kit. A 16-gauge nail gun was exactly what I was looking for so for $199 I grabbed this and was out the door. This product works great. I have to admit, the fitting was leaking air where the hose connects to the nail gun. After every nail that I shot, I had to go to the tank and adjust the pressure back up so that I could shoot another nail. I took it back to the store and they swapped it out for another one. This one works great. The compressor is VERY easy to use, as well as the hose and the nail gun, especially for someone that had never used one before. So instead of borrowing one of these, I now own an awesome air compressor (that I can use to inflate my car tires) and an awesome nail gun. Highly recommended.

I built a privacy fence in our backyard this spring and this tool was invaluable to the process. I decided to buy instead of rent and couldn't be happier with this product. It will really come in handy for future projects. the only con I have is that it is a little loud at times but get ear plugs.

Very loud compressor (wouldn't expect otherwise) but lightweight and gets the job done. It has intuitive controls and helped me install 800 sqft of flooring with no qualms. Same goes for the finish nailer -- gets the job done. The only suggestion I'd have is for a little bottle of lubricating oil to be included as was with a floor nailer I bought separately.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Blackbeered This B&D Unit is Fine for the Hobbyist
The compressor: it's compact; draws 10 amps; regulator is smooth but slow; takes 3 minutes to pump the tank from 0 to 150 psig; biggest issue so far ... it produces noticeably WET air [even with the shop at 55F 45%RH] and to protect attached tools, I'll be installing a trap between the pump and the tank in addition to a few drops of oil in the gun; the pump works hard [about two dozen shots per 100-to-150 cycle]; label says to toss the unit after Year 2024 [I should be so lucky]. Labels implies it might be made in Jackson TN?
The nailer: it's a chore to sink the provided 2" 16ga 'nails' below the surface 1/32" in soft pine at less than 100 psi [the gun's rated 70-100 psi] ... the piston on my older gun must be larger since it'll do this 'test' at 75 psi [the new gun is half the weight]; since I primarily will be using it to attach oak trim to casework with 1.25" nails, it should be okay; there's an included "belt hook" which I won't be using. Made in China.

I'm not much of a tool expert, actually the opposite. I used the compressor and nailer to finish a wood floor and quarter round trim. Both tools worked as they were intended. Not rocket science, but it was nice to try something new and not be frustrated by the tools. Less $ than renting, and I have them for future projects.
