My wife bought me this for Valentines day to help with finishing our basement. I used it the very next day and I am still using it today March 18th 2014. It is very well built and comes with everything you need to start your project. I did barrow a framing nailer as this does not come with one. However the finish nailer and stapler have been great for the rest of the stuff that the framing nailer is not made for. The only thing I would recommend is to buy a 50' air hose that is better then the one that comes with it. Less tangles and keeps you further away from the compressor when it comes on.

The Porter-Cable Compressor works great. I had borrowed and used my son's in the past, however the Porter-Cable Compressor was significantly quieter that my son's. It performed excellently and was very easy to adjust. The price on the set I purchased was great and far better than I could have done if I had purchased the items separately.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by kbcoch Great Compressor, Great deal, Great Combo
I picked this combo kit up for $180 or so (sale). Usually it just comes with either the Brad Nailer or the Finish Nailer but this came with the 16GA, 18GA, and the stapler so needless to say it came with more than I was paying for so thats a big plus. I needed the Brad nailer for trim work and I was in the market for new compressor for miscellaneous motorcycle/ bicycle/ car tire fill ups as well as the nailers for various projects so the combo was great. Compressor fills up fast, the nailers do their jobs flawlessly, and as for the stapler, well, I do not has a huge need for it so its just a bonus. I have run well over a thousand nails through the Brad nailer and quite a bit through the 16GA finisher and both fire well and have yet to jam or misfire. The compressor works just as advertised, no complaints and does just what I need it for. Well worth the money.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Odge Robust Compressor, Good value Guns
Good price to pay for the combo kit, but the stapler is somewhat of a white-elephant given how often it might be used.
The compressor and other guns have been put to good use a few times in a matter of weeks with household repairs to doors, molding, etc. No issues to report.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Newb Exactly what I needed.
I bought this combo a few weeks back and could not be happier. I am new to the DIY world and just needed something to put together some things around the house. The tank fills completely in less than 1 minute and I can immediately get to work. Guns are easy to operate and I have had no issues driving nails or staples in wood. I would recommend this for any weekend hobbyist as it has plenty of power, is simple to operate and is small and portable enough to take it where you need it. The only thing I would change would be to switch one of the smaller guage nail guns for a framing nailer so that I could have all my bases covered but I have been using the 16 ga. Finishing nailer to hold 2 X 4's without an issue while I get some screws to hold them more permanently.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by TheFixer Great Air Compressor & Nailer Combo Kit
This is a fantastic combo air compressor & nailer kit for the price. Out of the box and 10 minutes later I was installing crown molding and base board. I set the air pressure at 85 lbs, checked nail depth -couldn't be easier. Now as for durability, I've used this for 170' of crown molding and 190' of base, only time will tell. If I was needing this for more of a daily or weekly use I probably would have purchased a more rugged unit. But you can't beat this price for what you get. Go for it!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DodgyVictorioius Works like a charm
I bought this combo kit for some current and future DIY work. Initially I though the unit was damaged as the tank pressure remained on zero for some time. It was only after reading the FAQ on the porter-cable website did I realise that some units may come shipped with the drain valve open. I checked mine and it was fully open, and explained completely why the tank pressure remained low. After closing the drain valve I was able to break in the unit successfully. There is no mention in the instructions manual about closing the drain valve before first use. So please check your drain valve before initial usage.
However, that aside the unit operated really well and I was able to complete my first task with the 16 gauge nailer.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by CincyFlipper Waste of Money
As a house flipper, I use a lot of tools. This set was a complete waste of money. The brad nailer jammed after about 10 uses. Unless I send it off for service, the tool is useless. The finish nailer jammed several times on the first job I used it for, but I was able to clear the jams. At this point, I have no interest in trying the stapler.
I have several Porter tools and they have all been good, so I was surprised at the poor quality of this kit. I thought this combo kit was a great bargain when I bought it. However, the nailers are such poor quality that it was a waste of money. Instead of getting three tools and a compressor for a good price, I got an overpriced compressor. Everything else was junk. I cannot tell you how disappointed and aggravated I am with this. This experience has really soured me on Porter.
