Great product everything you need to get started, perfect for the homeowner who can handle smaller trees and big limbs that need to be trimmed. All you need to get started is a gas can and one gallon of fresh gas mix the oil they provide and you are ready to start cutting wood.

This is a fantastic saw that is very reliable and fairly high quality.
This model takes some muscle to start since its too small for choke relief but too big to make it easy but is normal with any saw.
I find it very unfortunate to see all of these bad reviews, especially since most are all the same, not starting after sitting.
This is disturbing because it doesn't accurately depict the tool, this saw, like any gas tool cheap or expensive Can not be left sitting with FUEL in it while in storage, stabilizer or not. it causes the ports and screens to become clogged from the fuel gumming up.
I'm no newbie at chain saws either, been using them for over 20 years, have 7 including Stihl and Huskvarna, this saw is right up there with durability and reliability given proper user care and maintenance.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Handyman works great for me!
After getting a lesion on what havoc car gas with ethanol does to small engines from a different saw, I switched to TRU-FUEL, since then, for the last two years, No problems starting this one. Another surprise, aftermarket chain stretches less than factory chain. I really like my saw now!!

I bought this chainsaw at Home Depot. I used it once and put it away. When I tried to use it again it would not start. I called Poulan and was told to bring it to a service center. I't cost me 40 bucks for them to look at it and tell me that the carburetor needed to be adjusted. Any adjustments are not covered buy Poulan! So if you buy it and it doesn't start it's your problem!

I have used it for 2 hours. The chain popped right off, I had to tighten it considering nobody tightened it upon manufacturing. I then put gas stabilizer in it, sat in in the garage for 14 months. When I went to start it to cut a tree that had fallen against my home, the choke will not engage. When you pull the choke out it pops right back in, it seems like the on/off swithch is no longer working either. Now I get the joy of locating my receipt and carrying this piece of junk to the repair shop where I was told they may charge me a diagnostic fee even though it's covered under warranty.
Like I said, if you buy poulan you get what you deserve. Don't fall for their cheap price, because they are cheap made.

Unfortunately; my Uncle was dumb enough to buy this piece of unreliable junk, and
after having it repaired twice; he finally had it, and asked me if I wanted it.
What The Hay; I took it.
Yes it did actually work two times, but it no longer starts, and the Rip Cord broke from
me pulling it 100 times every time I needed to try to start it.
Like I Said - - - - - - - Waste of time & money.

I purchased this poland chain saw a while back. It has less than 4 hours run time on it cutting branches. The chain continuously comes off, the motor will not stay running and it stalls at the least amount of work load put on it. Its balance and ergonomics are completely wrong. It is the WORST chain saw I have ever made the mistake of purchasing. Everything about it is POORLY DESIGNED! I purchased it, should have took it back but needed a quick branch cut which it functioned long enough to get that job done. However I certainly did not get my money's worth out of it. JUNK, JUNK, JUNK, JUNK.........

Value is probably the best thing about this saw. It's hard to crank...when it finally does and mine stayed in the shop. Only to get it back and it still wouldn't crank. The repairman told me it was the poorest made product he's ever tried to repair. Couldn't give me another one....
