Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Beast, but does the job This machine is a beast and has the power and features to chop through some decent size roots... The reverse feature is nice to step you out of an area without any tugging. Starts easy, controls are easy to understand, and easy to access. I think the machine just purrs as it chomps through dense soils and roots, but would warn anyone without a lot of strength that if you are trying to get through too many roots this machine will buck you a lot as it works through... All front tillers will buck on you, but this one is heavier than most so even harder to control as you work through untilled heavy rooted soil. It isn't clear on description, but there are pins on the tine arm to allow you to take the tilling width from 26" to like 14". That said... super happy with purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for a front tine tiller. April 9, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Check it before you use it On first use of this tiller the belt jumped off every few feet until I took the cover off and moved the pulley to align it with the rear pulley. That was aggravating enough and when I got that problem fixed I thought I was on a roll then I happen to notice that the motor was about to fall off. Two of the four bolts were gone (fallen off) and the remaining two bolts were ready to fall out. No lock washers. Went to Home Depot and got more bolts and washers and made sure all was tight and the second use went pretty good. March 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by easy to start-well constructed-does a good job Customer service was fune. I should have refused delivery of this product because it was damaged in shipment. The shipping container was demolished with subsequent damage to the top of the machine (dents and scratches on gas tank and exhaust manifold). It had obviously been turned upside down as crankcase oil was leaking out of the exhaust and carbureator. I called your customer service department at your Pittsburg KS store and they advised me to return it to their store. I liked the looks of the tiller and the functions that the product offered so I decided to try cleaning it up,changing the oil then using it to see if any major damage had been done to it. The tiller worked fine inspite of the dents and scratches so I decided to keep it. I have been very satisfied with the operation of this product and have no complaints about the product itself. Only in the way it was handled in getting it to me. June 1, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It has the features of more expensive tillers This is the best tiller I reviewed for the money. It starts on the first pull and runs very smooth. Other tillers of like quality would have cost several dollars more. Home Depot gave me the best for less money. Bill C May 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Poulan HDF800 Tiller Is Fantastic I was awe struck when I seen the size of the tiller, it is more than I expected and will work well in the sandy soil of Florida. I am impressed with the features of this machine. I followed the instruction manual for preping it for use and with the first pull of the cord it started right up. This Tiller is well worth the price and I'm sure will last my lifetime and thru to my Grandchildren if they decide to use it April 16, 2013
