Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 30 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by After year, love the clearing power, but had an issue with the motor The machine arrived, was easily assembled, it started effortlessly, and has ever since. I summer-ized it last year, and used it for the first snowfall this season 2012-13. I was half-way through finishing, when it got really loud, and the muffler fell out of the bottom of the housing. It appears as though the welds on the muffler broke loose and let go. I have ordered a replacement from an online retailer, but has been on backorder for 2+ months. I did not pursue with HD. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH SNOW TO TRY IT OUT BUT......... Because I finally broke down and bought a snow blower I am personally responsible for the lack of siginificant snowfall in Philadlphia this winter!! But seriously, I have the same complaint as most other buyers of this snow blower. When I opened the box there was oil all over the outside of the snowblower. Apparantly the manufacturer is unable to tightly screw on the oil fill cap. Other than that assembly was very easy. It fired up on the very first try. I only had one 2" snowfall to try it out, and it worked very well.I need a more significant snowfall to really see how well it works. I'll add more to this review when we get more snow. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very poor design, quality The second time I used this machine a small chunk of ice shattered the discharge chute. After about 8 - 10 hours of use the rubber auger needed replacement. While replacing the blade I found that the gas cap does not seal completely so that when the machine is tipped backwards, the gas runs out of the filler. There are no adjustable or replaceable skids so when the housing wears down, you will have to replace the entire unit. I found the directional stability to be poor and the engine very loud when under load. I have owned four prior snow blowers and this is by far the worst unit in terms of performance and durability. Pay a few dollers more and get a a better product! February 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great product - high recommended This was a Christmas present for my 75 year-old father, but he had to wait until Mid-February for enough snow to use it! Wow, was he happy! My father takes care of the homes of several widows in our neighborhood, and this made it a snap. It performed beautifully! He was very happy with the results - especially no sore back! The single-stage engine is powerful enough to do the job and got all the way down to the pavement without any problems. He did have to go over the 16" snow with 2 passes, but since it was rated to 13", it performed to specs. He was also pleased with how light-weight and easy to assemble it was. February 23, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Nice looking, that's about it Used 4 times, broke. When it ran, it did a decent job for the size of blower it is. It even started on the first pull! On the 4th use (less than 2 weeks old) the muffler broke off at the weld, it in turn hit the plastic piece between the carb and main engine causing gas to flow out. Their "authorized service center" is a joke in my town. They are rude if you didn't buy from them and are always backlogged. I'd put the new parts on myself if they would send them to me, but they wont. Now I have to sit and wait for the center to have an opening while I look at 8" of new snow on the ground. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by hardest thing I have ever tried to start. I purchased this 2 winters ago. I have used it maybe a grand total of 4 times. Each time it was impossible to start. It took at least 10 pulls to get it started. This winter I have not had to use it until today. I put in fresh gas and oil. After 20 minutes in 5 degree weather, I have up and shoveled my sidewalks in less than 15 min. This is the biggest waste of money I have ever spent and being on a fixed income it was hard enough to purchase. Can't wait to "junk it" and by a more reliable brand next year. February 5, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very good machine for the price Very good light duty machine for the price. Make sure to get the 208cc engine or it will be underpowered. It moves 3 inches of snow without issues, with more snow you have to push it a bit. We just got 15 inches of snow, I went out a blew the snow every few hours and it was easy. When I hit some 18 inch drifts I had to really push the machine, but it's not designed for that. We get a lot of snow in lower Michigan, but not usually more than 4 inches at a time, so this machine is fine for that. Starts first pull every time and in deep snow it never bogs with that 208cc motor and blows the snow a long way too. I saw a lot of the neighbors more expensive single stage machines bog down in the recent snow, but not mine. If you get a lot of snows more than 4 inches, get a 2 stage, if not, this machine works great and at $400 the price is right. January 7, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Respected product at a great price I purchased a Poulan snow blower because I have had such good service from my Poulan lawn mower. Haven't needed to use it yet so this is a preliminary review. It arrived on time with no visible damage though there was quite a bit of oil on the exterior that had to be wiped off. Assembly wasn't difficult. When filled with gas & oil, it started and ran smoothly with only two pulls. For a less expensive model, I appreciate it's large intake capacity, its larger motor and the ease of discharge control. November 29, 2011
