Customer Reviews

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EX 500 Cuts very well, however when adding a mulch kit it works excellent. Munching my lawn looks like a golf course it can even handle a 3 inch cut down with very very little trailing if you go slower. A large deck made me wonder if it could handle mulching and do a good job, it does an excellent job with every task I put it to. May 17, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent value for the money I have logged about 30 hours to date and its performance has been excellent. It is comfortable to ride, leaves a good cut and has no problem even with long, thick grass. Routine maintenance is easy & straight forward. The only thing I would change, and this is a very minor point, is that I prefer a handle throttle over a foot throttle. I am cutting about 4 acres (6 hours per week) over somewhat rough ground so holding the foot throttle can become tiresome. I find the 'cruise control' not as effective as a hand throttle as, once set, you cannot vary the speed without disengaging it. That is, of course, the purpose of cruise control. With a hand throttle you can set your speed and then let go of it but, when needed, adjust your speed simply by moving the throttle. With the foot throttle you have to get your foot back on it and then disengage the cruise control. Disengaging the cruise control is typically not a smooth transition. Overall though, I am exceedingly happy with this machine. June 28, 2012
