Customer Questions & Answers

How many batteries do I need?

I know battery quality matters in this but that aside for a second, using 12v deep cycle batteries how many does it take to keep it running between 1200 watt and 2200 watt?
Asked by: Sumi
The batteries will only determine the run time (how long you can power your appliances). The unit does not produce 2200 watts continuously unless that is what is being drawn from it. If your appliance only draws 500 watts, the unit will only be consuming approximately 550 watts with a 10% efficiency loss.

Can this inverter be wired in parallel with another exact same model to provide more power if needed?

Asked by: EdM
No, the units are not stackable and should never be connected directly to another inverter. You can have multiple units connected to separate batteries.

I saw it being hooked up to a PRIUS, on YouTube. Do I require accessories?

I don't understand if I need a fuse to protect or isolate the inverter from the battery terminal of the PRIUS. If so, do you also at HOME DEPOT or independently have the circuit breaker available. And how much is it, and what recommended amperage? Does it come with cables to hook up to the battery? Is there a remote switch I can use to disconnect the inverter from the car, from inside the house? If so, where available and how much?
Asked by: ReadyElectric
A fuse would be an added layer of protection for your battery, the unit has internal fuses. Adding a fuse is optional but if you would like to, we recommend a fuse rated at 200 amps. Cables are not included with the unit. You can use 2 awg (American Wire Gauge) for up to 12 feet of distance between the inverter and the battery. If your cable run is going to be longer then use thicker cable. The only remote available for this unit is the RMT100 and it is a 20 foot wired cable remote.

12-Volt DC to AC 2200-Pure Sine Inverter is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like it Been taking my new inverter through the paces. I plan on using it for dry camping in my trailer. I am using -1 size wire going just 2'. I am almost able to deliver full battery voltage to inverter, I am just 1/10 of volt off. To max out this inverter your cables to your battery bank has to be capable to handle up to 200 amps. Anyway inverter does everything I want to do and I have not maxed it out. I would buy it again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth the extra money After returning two pure sine wave 1500W inverters, I spent the extra money and got the 2200W inverter. No frills like a USB charger or a voltage-gauge or load-gauge but it works and powers everything I want. Vacuums, drill presses, lathes, lights, etc. No buzzing or funny sounds from the appliances.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product does just what it's designed to do,,, For the price, this inverter is a winner,,,Tho advertised as a 4400 watt surge capability it's not, but most inverters are advertised the same way. I would buy another!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power Brite Pure Sine 2200 This is a no frills inverter but it does exactly what it is supposed to do as opposed to the similar size or even larger modified sine wave type inverters. Very good quality and appears to be more heavy duty than others I have seen, tested, and returned! It is a little pricey but in this case you get what you pay for. Seems to be getting full power using manufacturers setup instructions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Quality and at a Great Price Definitely not the prettiest or fancy. However if you want a good inverter this is for you. Make sure you size properly the Current * Voltage = Watts. We are running continuous 14A of load to our 2200 model which is 70% load. The inverter is working like it should. I would buy another.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product seems to be a very nice item. However, the one I received was defective. This product was one which I thought would solve my problem. I want to run a 1000 watt microwave in my camper. i ordered a 100o watt pure wave inverter. When it arrived, it would not handle the load so I returned it and ordered this 2200 Watt pure sine wave inverter. Much to my suprise it wouldn't handle the load either. So i returned it also. I'm sure there is a good pure sine wave inverter that can handle the load.
