Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for Tailgating! This generator is absolutely awesome. I take it to our football tailgates (WAR EAGLE) and it has really worked wonders! I was able to use the blender all day and cook various dips in the convection oven for a couple hours all while charging my iPhone. Over the course of the entire day I only used 20% of the battery! Oh did I mention that it makes absolutely NO NOISE? Our tailgating neighbors have a couple gas generators and they were so in love with the fact that my new toy was completely silent. To "Sarge's" comment above, it is advertised as an 1800 watt solar generator because that is the max wattage the" inverter" can produce. This has nothing to do with the solar panel that comes with the unit.. The wattage of the included panel is clearly in the description as well. If you are looking for convenient and quiet source of power for the outdoors, THIS is your item November 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Power G 1800 generator is a big bang for your Buck! When I bought this generator I had looked at many in the same watt class. I was looking for something that would run a refrigerator for at least 4 to 5 hours straight before draining the battery. As soon as I recieved it I made sure it was charged and then hooked up our refrigerator and let it go. After 5 hours it was still going and I think I could have got another hour but my test was complete with flying colors. It is really a neat little setup. I did buy 2 100 watt panels for quicker solar recharge than the 60 watt panel that came with the unit. But I am very happy with the unit and would recommend this to anyone. February 11, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by A joke Not enough charging capability. Not enough battery storage for anything. Pretty expensive considering what it is. Build something like this yourself for much less, and with far better performance. March 31, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed. The unit is very under powered for anything other than cell phone charging, a very small tv, radio, or a few lights. And, once the batteries are discharged...the solar panel takes forever (like 3+ days) to charge it back up. The solar panel is about as cheap as it gets looks like it came from Harbor Freight. Rated 2 out of 5 by Not an 1800 watt sys. this is advertised as an 1800 watt system; it's not. it has an 1800 watt inverter but the panel is 60 watts. I would say the advertisement needs updated so its not misleading. October 30, 2013
