24 in. 212cc 2-Stage Gas Snow Blower is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 473.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped working after 4 uses We bought this in October 2016. We used it about 4 times last winter. It was ok as long as it worked. We used it for our one car drive way and the small paved path to the front door from the drive way. It stopped working in January. We had to shovel the last few snow storms as if we did not have a snow blower. It is still under one year warranty. The funny thing is, they are asking us to take this to their repair shop and also they are covering only $40 for the repairs. It's going to cost us more than $40 just to transport it, as our car is not big enough. Wish we knew before buying!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do Not Buy - Flimsy I know this product is so HD can have a low price point but it's a waste of your time and money. I would not recommend this to anyone. 1st snow -would not start, after start...had a hard tine keeping the cheap parts around the handle and controls on the blower. 2nd snow..had a tough time getting through 10inches, 3rd snow....auger stops working. Is it the belt, control wire snap, wired separate? Who knows, the bolts on the housing are very, very tight and had to get to without damaging the unit. Products like this should just work and have zero issues for at least 1 season....if not more. End result - pass on this, or regret it. I am going to try and return it.

Shot snow 25ft at least in all directions. I finished a 100 ft driveway in 15 minutes with 6 " of wet snow. Amazing for the money! Key things to do. Spray white silicone lube in shoot and on blades and let sit with no use for a minimum 24 hours so that it can properly dry so that snow won't get clogged up. Paid $399 and it rivals my friends snow blower which he paid $799 for. A great buy!

WARNING: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, bought brand new two years ago, first season worked like a charm! Year two, would not start at all, had to shovel, customer service is none existent/terrible. I emptied the gas every season and did everything by the book. Would not start manually or with electric starter. DO NOT BUY WARNING. I dont ever leave negative feedback but after the frustration I dealt with last season I had no choice. I live in upstate NY so this is a much needed tool. Please spend a few extra bucks you wont regret it. Assembly took only an hour, but dependability is terrible. If you want to blow money on repairs this is the snow blower for you. I am having a repairman pick it up tonight. Hope this helps! Sorry Power Smart there is nothing smart about buying your junky snowblower that never STARTS. Homedepot shoppers---you have been warned:)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Powersmart 24" snow thrower Bought this on Black Friday for $399. Assembled myself so I know it was done right. Unit doesn't come with oil, it takes 18 ounces so make sure you buy a quart before you get home. For the money it was 1/2 price of the other brands. Will it last as long for home use? I doubt it but if it lasts 4 years it paid for itself. Likes: electric start, gas valve, easy start. Dislikes: snow chute and control vibrates and rotates, tires (not as knobby as others), reverse could use a faster speed, unit doesn't have a transmission as it uses a cog, gear and belt. Bottomline: can't beat it for the $$$. If you want a commercial machine this isn't for you. But for home use it's a good machine for the $$$. Throws wet snow 20'+

The string that runs the wheels from the gears keeps getting loose all the time, I have to stop and fix it/tighten it. A bolt fell out of one of the augers that keeps it tight and moving, so it isn't throwing snow now. All this on a machine I have used for 3 months.

It did great, except for one problem, after about 30 minutes of work, the cable that runs from the throttle to under blower broke. The hook on the spring snapped, kind of an important part. I could understand if it was an old machine but I dont call 30 minutes old. And when I called customer service, no one available. They did return my call (next day), only to have me call back and get the VM again. I have asked for a replacement and dont know if they will come through. So I recommend this machine as long as it works. Dont expect much from CS. Should have bucked up for the Toro.

Just make sure to go through the instructions before you actually start. I had to remove the lower part of the handle, because the wiring from the upper part of the handle wasn't run the right way before I mounted the lower part of the handle. Other than that, pretty straight forward, and it took only about an hour or so. Got it's first use yesterday for 6 inches of very heavy snow (lots of sleet and mush). Powered through it no problem including the heavy stuff at the foot of the driveway that the plows pile up when cleaning the street (have to easy does it with the drive control; go a little and stop to let the chute clear out, then go a little more, stop and let the chute clear out, and so on). Price was decent enough. Fair market value considering the price of the higher end snow blowers. For the average home user this will do the job.
