Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Feds PowerStar Point-of-Use Electric Water Heater - 9.5
I installed the unit with very little problem. This is a secondary heating unit used only for kitchen sink and dishwasher. Since installing it we have put it through everything we could think of, without fail. Unlike a previous review, the unit works great on our 40 amp breaker so far and have no fear that it will continue to function well. We are a long ways from the breaker panel (80 feet) still no problems. The unit has performed exactly as they stated it would. My recommendations are to follow the installation instructions and recommendations use materials as suggested. Cutting corners to save a dollar is dangerous and foolish.
Hope this will be of some help to others.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lars Great for cold places.
If in Michigan this is awesome or other cold places. I did not purchase it here tho,but wanted to rate it. I had a RP3 it was not for our Michigan weather like 10F we get in winters. We had it hooked to a bathroom faucet and a shower and it did ok if you want super low water pressure. I checked into this unit and did my homework and Bosch never did me wrong before. Spent 70$ for the wire and added a different circuit breaker for it.. Turned it on and I am so shocked how hot the water is even high pressure even tho they say it is not recommended for a shower . But I say heck ya it is ,and also for my bathroom sink. Have it hooked up in the basement not direct to one item. We have no hot water heater . This does the job. Figured I would let whoever is interested in it in cold places this is a strong A+A+.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Michael Unit is cracked and leaks
After all the work to install this heater after one day's use I had to uninstall it because it leaks. It worked well and was dry and leak free for about an hour. I came back to the shop the next day and there's a big flood in the kitchen. I tightened the connections but the leak is coming from inside the heating element coil. Not happy with this product at all and not happy that I had to spend so much time just to find out it's defective.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Verified Reviewer HOT Water on Demand - as long as you want! Love It
We purchased this model to replace a (low flow) 110v.
We paid less for this one, it is a 240v and works far better than the old 110v did from day one!
The water is consistantly hot and stays that way the entire shower, hand washing or while doing the dishes. I wish I bought it a year ago instead of fusing with the old off brand model while dreading taking showers in cold water!
This 9.5 model installed easy, looks nice and works great!
I highly recommend it to anyone after using it for a month.
Hunt for the best no more, you found it!

A great little unit, does exactly what it says it will do. Be aware of the specifications, though, correct wire size is critical and when it says it draws 40 amps, it isn't kidding, a 40 amp breaker won't hold it, needs a 50 amp to handle the surge in power demand when it starts up.

The instilation process went well. The problem is you use the hot water a couple of times and it trips the breaker on the heater and you have to pull the cover off to reset.
