Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lars Great for cold places.
If in Michigan this is awesome or other cold places. I did not purchase it here tho,but wanted to rate it. I had a RP3 it was not for our Michigan weather like 10F we get in winters. We had it hooked to a bathroom faucet and a shower and it did ok if you want super low water pressure. I checked into this unit and did my homework and Bosch never did me wrong before. Spent 70$ for the wire and added a different circuit breaker for it.. Turned it on and I am so shocked how hot the water is even high pressure even tho they say it is not recommended for a shower . But I say heck ya it is ,and also for my bathroom sink. Have it hooked up in the basement not direct to one item. We have no hot water heater . This does the job. Figured I would let whoever is interested in it in cold places this is a strong A+A+.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Michael Unit is cracked and leaks
After all the work to install this heater after one day's use I had to uninstall it because it leaks. It worked well and was dry and leak free for about an hour. I came back to the shop the next day and there's a big flood in the kitchen. I tightened the connections but the leak is coming from inside the heating element coil. Not happy with this product at all and not happy that I had to spend so much time just to find out it's defective.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by screaser Pretty good solution to cold water at sink problem. With restricted electricity supply.
I did not install this personally, but a plumber did as part of a remodel. That said, i don't believe this is hard to install, even i might do it and i hate plumbing!
This was installed on a cold water line (in Texas) during February for a kitchen faucet. It has been cold, ie. the water is going to be cold too, and the water has been the right temperature for washing dishes. No need to cool the water with the cold tap, and in fact this *won't work* because if you turn on the cold tap in a "mixer" arrangement as we have the back pressure from the cold tap swamps the hot pressure and the water heater shuts down.
The flow is perfectly adequate for a smaller sink, maybe a bit low for the large sink i have. I would have bought a higher flow model but was restricted to a 30amp model as a larger one would have necessitated a $500 charge to an electrician to run a new wire (not economic sense for a $150 water heater).
Was considering attaching to the hot water line (the distance from the tank is so great the water was cold when it *eventually* got there) but this is expressly forbidden in the instructions. Makes sense as there is no heater cut-off when the incoming water gets too hot (why? The higher rate models do, is it because they cost more?). If i ran a sink-full of water then the hot water from my tank would have reached the heater and caused a problem. Best to avoid that.
Anyway, i am happy with the product. We've had it running a month and once we figured out about not running the cold tap at the same time we haven't had any problems with it and our dishes are clean.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Verified Reviewer HOT Water on Demand - as long as you want! Love It
We purchased this model to replace a (low flow) 110v.
We paid less for this one, it is a 240v and works far better than the old 110v did from day one!
The water is consistantly hot and stays that way the entire shower, hand washing or while doing the dishes. I wish I bought it a year ago instead of fusing with the old off brand model while dreading taking showers in cold water!
This 9.5 model installed easy, looks nice and works great!
I highly recommend it to anyone after using it for a month.
Hunt for the best no more, you found it!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Mike Not worth the effort to install
This unit had to have a heavier breaker installed. You should use the defuser that they supply because it slows the water down and gives the unit a chance to WARM UP. That's right WARM UP. ITS NOT HOT! If you have to fill a pot with warm water and you have the defuser installed please be prepared to WAIT. it's slow. In review, not hot water, the flow is slow, and it's a waste of time to install. Buy a small hot water heater and run a propane line to it and hook it to a BBQ tank. Don't buy this thing

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by radlaw Very useful device
Wasn't the easiest to install. Had to get an electrician. Needed to run a dedicated line. Expensive. Had to get a plumber. Expensive. Awkward to use one unit for 2 sinks with one faucet and 2 handles each. Chose to connect to house hot water. Doesn't work well if flow restrictors used. Have to balance hot and cold flow, otherwise cold flow dominates. Need trial-and-error method to get flows right.

The water heater is easy to hook up to plumbing supply lines. You will need to have the correct size wiring and plug for the 240 volt power supply. Works fine for a single sink that we use at our camp.
