will this unit run a 6000 btu air conditioner ?

Asked by: butch
I have a 6k energy star rated air conditioner and it started my unit up with no issued, don't use auto idle because A/C will cycle on and off and will need the extra Rpm's for starting load and it will go to run load what is much lower. Example starting load begins at 1850 watts to get the compressor going and run load is 1100 +/- 100 watts

How quiet is this genertor?

How does it compare in quietness to the Honda 2000 or Honda 3000?
Asked by: Hunter
I put my EU 2000 near it and put it about 20 feet apart from each other. The real tree unit was a bit louder more like a sound of a hum that engine running, I still like my real tree, I can stand near it and have a chat with someone next to me and the sound of the realtree running doesn't bother me at all just as if I has my Honda was on....

Customer Reviews

RealTree 2,100-Watt Gasoline Powered Digital Inverter Generator is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from It made our camping trip priceless. This generator gets 5 starts in all categories. Portability, ease of use, easy maintenance, ease of storage, great warranty, long run time with a lot less gas – it got it all. It has accompanied us on couple of camping trips and it sure was most productive luggage we carried with us. Powering the spot lights for night fun games or table top grill for kebabs, it worked great but that’s not all. Its 12V receptacle turned out to be the most appreciated feature. I was able to charge the electric motor battery of my Fishing Kayak while camping and that was just awesome. Kids were so happy to have the light after dark. That was priceless. Be able to use AC and DC powers in parallel is just icing on the cake. I’ve also used it to power my tools on a fence repair job. The tools performed just as they were plugged in the wall receptacle. Being light weight, easy to carry around and not loud at all, it’s a great power source for tailgate parties. I sure look forward to that. I love the fact that it shuts the motor automatically if I overload it or if the motor is low on oil and that simply translates into reliability and longevity. Manufacturer recommends using a maximum of 10% ethanol gasoline. I suggest staying away from ethanol at all and never run into startup problems. The included manual is very thorough and explains everything in such details that non-experienced should have no trouble with it. On the front control panel, all the buttons are clearly labeled for ease of operation. It’s a great little power grid,I am proud to own it and highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very quiet This is a nice generator. I've tried powering loads as high as 1750 watts with no problem. Because it is a digital inverter generator, it generates cleaner power for electronics, as well as it has the ability to automatically scale down the engine as necessary to produce only as much power as is being consumed. It has started easily every time so far. It's also fully sound insulated and quiet enough to have a conversation right next to it. It is light enough to carry with one hand (though just barely).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Has Been Convenient This has been a good generator so far with one exception - it has been hard to start from day one and continues to take time and patience to get started. Once it starts it is dynamite - idles down great, runs good . It starts right up after it's been warm but starting it cold is a buggar. I am hoping it will get easier as I use it more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome, Amazing, Fantastic Generator I opened up the box and removed the generator. I grabbed the oil and oil spout container from the box and added oil, poured in some unleaded gasoline, turned the arrow on the air vent cap to open, turned the unit switch to on, pulled the choke knob out, grabbed onto the handle and gave it a pull and Bingo. It started right up. It is so quiet that in the video I made for you, I ended up putting it on my noisy cement driveway instead of on the grass because I was afraid you couldn't hear it running. The spark plug is changed on the top of the generator and a plug tool is included. A screw driver to open the oil compartment is included. I really like being able to charge a 12 volt battery with this generator (cables included as well). The Manual is easy to read and understand. I didn't even need to open it up and look at it. It does tell the wattage of different appliances you can plug into it so it's a keeper. I have an identical generator (minus the 12 volt charging function) that cost me $1,000.00 made by Honda. This generator can run as much if not more than the Honda one and for a heck of a lot less money! Instead of getting all my extension cords out to weed whack, I put this generator out in my yard and plugged my electric weed eater into it and whacked away. You won't believe how darn quiet it is on grass. If you use this for camping as suggested, you won't be waking up anyone. I love this Generator and highly recommend it. I love the way it looks too. Don't forget to view my video. I should have made it longer though. Thumbs up on this Generator !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handy small generator This little generator does a nice job. I found the engine noise to be quite tolerable. I would recommend wearing a glove to pull the starter rope because the small hand grip feels like it will wear a sore spot on the hand pretty quickly. The engine required a few more tugs than I expected before it started, but it ran smoothly thereafter. I've provided a short video with the generator powering a portable fan so you can hear the engine and see the unit at work. I like the small size of the generator and the extension handle that tucks away when not needed. The unit rolls smoothly on "roller-blade" style wheels and takes very little space to store in my garage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good buy.... I fired my up and ran it for a hour and runs great not as quiet as Honda but real close, I would like to how many amps is on the 12volt side too see how fast it will charge a battery. If was you do plan on getting the extended plan to have Home deal with repairs. I plan on checking on where I can get service and parts that may be a issue.... Due to made overseas. My friend has own his for 9 months with no problems and use it for night fishing and runs his 2000 watt light system with no problems.
