Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Acceptable torque wrench for putting wheel lugs on a car I bought this for about $14 from in May 2015. This is a perfectly acceptable torque wrench for putting wheel lugs on a car, and you won't break your bank account. It's made well-enough to last for decades as long as you don't abuse it. It's easy to calibrate. You just bend the little arm to zero. I was able to compare this beam torque wrench to a couple of other toque wrenches, including another beam style (discussed below) and an inexpensive click style. For me, the click style was easy to eliminate. It's not so easy to calibrate. You have to send it in for service, or you have to use a beam torque wrench to calibrate it! There are also other, less convenient ways to calibrate. Basically, a click-type torque wrench is more complicated, but it is easier to use when you're actually in the act of tightening a bolt. You just wait for the click and then stop. I ended up keeping Powerbuilt Model # 944050. It's also a beam torque wrench. However, it has a molded plastic case, better build, better steel, better handle, more responsive, and a more accurate feel. For about $15 more, the upgrade was worth it to me. May 24, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great torque wrench I am a retired aircaft mechanic and bought this torque wrench for home use, but after using it to rotate my tires on the family car I would use it for work if I was still working. Easy to read needle pointer shows you at a glance the proper torque values and the 1/2 inch drive excepts impact drive sockets. This is a 5 star product. March 21, 2014
