Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product Bought this a couple of years ago during Ice storms in our area. It has worked great and is easy to use. The included wheel kit and handle, make it easy to take and transport to any area. Has required no maintenance and has had no problems from the day I took it out of the box. Has been used by myself and family members during power outages and for remote locations. The fact that it comes with the 25 ft multi-outlet cord makes it simple to run multiple tools and appliances at the same time. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a GREAT generator. I happen to get this on sale, so it was an even Greater value. Thank you April 4, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Has given us very good service Bought this generator 6 years ago and have used it a few times during that period, I had not started it each month as the manual suggests for about 3 years. So when I tried to start it last spring it would not run. I took it to a local repair place and all he did was clean out the fuel line. It now starts first pull. We just came through a very bad ice storm here in Michigan and we had no commercial power available for 6 days. I ran this generator from 6 AM to about 10 PM for almost 7 days with no problem at all. I have a transfer switch (which I strongly recommend) so we could run freezer, refrigerator, furnace, and necessary lights while on the outside it was 9 degrees at night. December 31, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Major problem I purchased this generator approx 2 yrs ago . I started it up and everything was fine. I took the gas out and stored the generator for an emergency. When the generator was finally put in service it ran 20 minutes and then the generator part of the unit failed November 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Buy Had this unit for a few years now since my basement flooded in the October storm (didn’t live here). With simple maintenance and exercising it a couple times a year, it starts up with one or two pulls every time. Make sure you buy the transfer switch.... can’t go wrong January 4, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Generator Purchased from HD 3/2011. Bought it as a power backup unit only. I run it for a 20 or 30 minutes every couple months to make sure it runs well. Starts on first or second pull. I always close the gas shutoff and run it out of gas before putting it away. I always use Stabil in all of the gas that goes in this unit (in all my small engines). I follow the directions as to adding "load", not stopping or allowing to it run out of gas with "load" still connected. I follow the instructions and always give a light pull on starter cord to close the valves, before putting away. Just used it for 11 hours due to ice storm/power outage. Used portable electric heaters and as you would hear the thermostat click on or off on the heater the response from the generator was instantaneous. Great machine. My only issue is that I wish it had an hour meter. February 6, 2014
