Answer:
The airbrush requires just 10-30 PSI of pressure to work. Be sure that your air compressor is equipped with a regulator, and that you can regulate the compressor down to 10 – 30 PSI of working pressure. Then yes you should be able to use this 010-0016CT air brush with your compressor. Do not operate the air brush at more than 30 PSI.

Answer:
You can use this with almost any compressor. The key things to make it work right are:
Oil-less compressor
Correct Air pressure (Regulator)
Correct fittings to hook it to the compressor

Answer:
Air brushes are generally for small to fine detail work. You can broaden the width of the work by painting from a farther distance but it will come at the cost of less paint meeting the surface (ie. thinner coat application) and overspray.

Answer:
The airbrush will work with any oil-less compressor. A few things to consider when looking at a compressor for this as well as setting it up: Portability, noise & physical size. Be sure to have a quality regulator to control the air flow/pressure & ensure that you can connect the small aorbrush hose to the regulator. Smaller, air brush compressors generally meet all the features I mentioned above.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Air brush The air brush was easy to use and the instructions were clear. I am using the air brush for pottery glazes. I was concerned that the glazes might be too particulate to use with an air brush, but it worked quite well. July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great replacement for old unit Easy to assemble and easy to use! Nice size for use. March 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value for the price paid. The kit arrived ahead of estimated schedule, although what was advertised was not what was received. The kit I purchased was to include 2 different sized jars and a wrench. Both jars were the same size, and no wrench was included. Customer service gave me a credit on my bill, and all-in-all, the product itself works great. The needle does get clogged fairly easy, so thin properly and keep moving. I recommend purchasing additional jars for paint so you can mix ahead of time and minimize down time so the needle clogs less often. August 28, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Seems to work just fine. I do tend to get an 'orange peel' effect (very fine bumps and pits) but that may be due to my inexperience with the tool and lack of practice, and with the suitability of the paint/solvent for this type of application (a very dilute shellac actually intended for French polishing with a fast-drying solvent). January 24, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth the money I purchased this to paint toys and crafts. I followed the instructions thinned the paint correctly. It worked about 4 times, now it won't draw paint from the bottle. I even tried just water to see if the paint was the problem, won't even spray water. Contacted tech support, told me to take it back for a replacement. I will take it back and get a air brush that works! February 24, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not all it's cracked up to be Purchased this to make fiberglass tub repair. We could not get it to spray even after thinning out paint. August 26, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Acceptable airbrush This airbrush is acceptable if you need light touch ups. If you are trying to do any type of artistic work or fine touch ups such as thin lines, this is not the airbrush for you. The quality was good, and the product is durable. Be aware this trigger is basically on/off. There is no ability to adjust paint flow/pressure. This is not an all in one tool. November 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent airbrush for hobby work I used it for model RR structures. Works perfectly at about 30-40 psi. A compressor is pretty much required: the little cans of air don't have a lot of pressure. Some airbrushes cost over $50, but I assume they are for artwork or other things that need a very tight control over the spray. October 1, 2013
