Answer:
This is only .5mil (12.2micron) thickness and not 2mil as the previous reply said. It is indeed just as thick as a food shrink wrap.
The actual diameter of the roll is about 3". For the same 1000-foot roll from mover's store you'll get .75mil for a roll diameter of 4" and cheaper ($5.95) plus it is stronger as well.

Answer:
I believe it is about 2 mil thick. As with any stretch or shrink wrap, strength improves with additional windings around the product. In other words, 2x around may not be real strong but 6 times around makes the holding power much stronger.

Answer:
It's a little heavier then normal plastic wrap, not much. It's easy to put on more layers to get added strength and protection. I always put on a few wraps, one or two rarely is enough. I have used a few others and this one seems to be one of the better ones. It's pretty much the same as what you get at uhaul, but you get more for your money.

Answer:
This would work fine. Most of these type wraps are the same thin gauge and you just put on enough wraps to hold things in place.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by It's stretch wrap however it's difficult to use It's regular stretch wrap. The quality of the product is fine, except that the roller handle does not roll. You need to use 2 hands to wrap things. This sometimes results in an impromptu Twister session. July 14, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Stuff but Handel needs work The stretch wrap was great. Did exactly what I wanted. The handel needs work. Wrap did not spin freely, retaining button kept falling off... Not all that it could be. June 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It worked well This product worked very well for the need that I had. It was easy to use and did the job. June 21, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Decent Does the job of holding very well but the roll does not spin well and you have to use both hands to turn it. Defeats the purpose of one hand handle. May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Keep this on hand This made the move incredibly easier. I am going to keep this on hand. Plastic wrap on a stick. I am going to wrap the moving boxes together for easier storage so they will be available for my next move. Even the guys helping me used it to wrap the doors and drawers closed. We disassembled shelving units and used this to keep parts together. May 18, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good product but.... This is a great product to have handy along with your duct tape. The handle functions very poorly and is constantly falling off. A little glue will fix that but it should have been done at the factory. May 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great stuff for the mover... had a little difficulty finding the starting point...but was great product worked perfectly May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Handy and easy to use.. No problem using it. A refill would be a good to this product. May 3, 2016
