No, the doors are not mirrored on the outside. It's all white, inside and out. Home Depot offers a shorter cabinet from the same company that can be attached to the top of this cabinet. Search "Elite Storage Cabinets" and you will see it.

Answer:
Only if bolted to the top and/or bottom shelf. The back is only cardboard. The top and bottom are solid enough to put a "L" shaped bracket on the inside if positioned over a stud.

Answer:
It could be bolted to the wall if you attach some L-brackets to the top and to a wall but it doesn't come with any means of securing it to a wall. Some other cabinet brands have a particle board piece across the top of the inside for this purpose, but this cabinet does not.

No, it cannot be hung on the wall. It is designed to sit on the floor.
However, the smaller wall cabinet CAN be mounted to the wall. Please see the links below for product information:

MOST assemble yourself cabinets are only backed with a cardboard or fiberboard backing. This one has one of the thicker engineered wood backs I've seen.
DEPENDS on what you mean by BOLT TO WALLl. The cabinet comes with a safety strap for attaching to a wall to prevent it from toppling.
Should you desire a sturdier situation than using the safety strap only, I'd suggest putting the cabinet into position (double check base boards and/or wall abnormalities and/ or features of floor will allow you to get the cabinet as close to the wall as you need/desire) add some weight to the lower portions for stability during "bolting".
Then for advanced assemblers, use a square to ensure the cabinet is, well, square, check level with a level.
And finally, for everyone again, align and level the cabinet doors by adjusting 6 way hinges. (up/down, front/back, outside/center)
Attach safety strap (provided) to prevent cabinet from tipping, and then determine best way to secure cabinet to the wall for your needs.
Once the cabinet backing is flush to the wall, it should be possible to screw through the backing into a stud or use a wall anchor for more stability. You may wish to user a washer to prevent the screw from piercing the backing. Not much else could be gained by securing through the backing alone.
L-brackets could be used, with care, on top and / or sides. The Enameled Engineered Wood panels , which make up the sides and top of the cabinet, are 1/2" thick (including finish)
MOUNTING the cabinet to a wall (not sitting on the floor or other hard surface, suspended from the wall) would NOT be recommended by me, although it could be RAISED by placing on two pieces of lumber sturdy enough to hold the cabinet and it's contents, safely) As mine are in the garage near a sometimes open garage door, they are sitting upon 2x4s to keep them from getting wet. Yes, this cabinet can be bolted into the wall. I would recommend an earthquake safe style bolt. However, one would have to drill holes into the frame of the cabinet to be able to attach bolts to it.

I would like to use the cabinet for a room divider as well as extra storage space. Is the back finished or not? The back of the cabinet would be facing the living area.

Answer:
Usually they come with heavy gauge cardboard with only the inside painted white like the outside/top/bottom of the cabinet. The back of the cabinets are usually unpainted, which is OK if it is installed against a wall.

Answer:
The back of the cabinet is a piece of hard cardboard that is painted white for the inside of the cabinet and is brown cardboard color on the wall side. You could dress it up with sticky wall paper for a divider. But I would be careful using this as a divider around kids until it settles into place. It was a bit wobbly until we stored our items in it.

The back of this cabinet is unfinished MDF and the back edges of the particleboard sides are also unfinished. These cabinets were intended as "utlity" storage. I wouldn't recommend for dividing a living space.

Answer:
I don't think you could use it as a broom closet since there is a fixed shelf in the middle. I wouldn't take that shelf out - the cabinet would stand but might not be as sturdy. The doors are heavy and you would need to anchor the unit to the wall.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by economical, well made cabinets I purchased two 32" W X 16" D cabinets to use as a pantry in my small kitchen. They were easy to assemble with clearly printed instructions for assembly and adjusting the doors. I'm happy to have storage space to clear my counter tops of excess clutter. I would buy more of these for other areas in my house. They would be great to store lots of things besides small appliances, canned goods, etc. I was just picturing all the holiday ornaments and decorations neatly tucked away. If I could line these cabinets up along walls throughout my house, everything would look neat and tidy. June 28, 2016
