Answer:
You can, but it is unnecessary and would make the bed quite high, depending on the thickness of your mattress. The platform where the mattress sits is 13 inches from the floor.

Answer:
The bed is not pre-designed to attach such a headboard, so you would need to drill holes to attach.
The difference between the Coal Harbor and Sonoma beds is the shape of the panel at the foot of the bed. The Sonoma curves upwards in the center whereas the Coal Harbor is recessed in the center. Email info@prepacmfg.com if you need more details.

Rated 3.0 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do yourself a favor and buy solid wood instead! I ordered this whole bedroom set, and I cant relay to you how disappointed I am. Assembly is a nightmare, first of all. It comes in multiple huge heavy boxes, and requires a drill gun and a hammer to assemble. The head board and footboard are only held together by the side panels above and below the drawers allowing the bed to shift from side to side and if the sides are uneven, then the drawers don't go in. The slats are low quality, and will leave splinters in the underside of your mattress or box spring, and may be bowed. The screws that attach the side panels are too wide and can easily bust out the side of the wood. The drawers themselves are poorly designed and the bottoms bow out and break seemingly inevitably. Additionally, the pieces that are part of this "set" don't go with it at all! If you order the matching storage headboard, you won't be able to open your drawers on the side of the bed. This bed is made of cheap plywood, particle board, and laminate, and breaks easily. Do yourself a favor and buy solid wood instead. May 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice quality, sturdy Overall I am very pleased with this item. The look is really sleek and nice, and the storage drawers are great. My new mattress fits nicely and is sturdy. It was easy to put together, but needs time allotted to do so.Two things to mention though, the pieces should be labeled "A, B, C, etc." and there should be "guide holes" for the backing on the drawer bottoms, we chipped the wood when hammering in. I bought a headboard too, PrepacKallisto Black Double and Queen Bookcase Storage Headboard -- it goes perfectly with the bed and looks great together. March 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by queen sleeping did not take very long to put together... recommend two people work on it (one person can work on the frame while the other works on the drawer assembly)... wish the drawers were deeper/taller... but overall great product! May 4, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by bed platform It's a good construction but the slats are alittle too thin and knotty February 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for the price It was easy enough to put together for one person. The bed is sturdy and the drawers open and close smoothly. It is recommended that you put the bed together exactly where you want it. If you push it around, the boards in the center tend to bow and the drawers won't shut properly. October 13, 2015
