We have used this product for years on our cedar fence, our whole log cabin, and our deck too. We applied it to the cabin with a sprayer and the fence with a sprayer and another time I used a rllar on the fence. The deck we have always used a rollar, we found that we only did the deck when it really needed it and then it absorbed better and was only tacky about a week. The product is durable and lasts a long time. We live in Montana and winter is hard on wood, but this stuff really lasts. We did our fence shown here three years ago and will do it again this year, the flood lat year was hard on the fence.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EJD great product so far
Just appl ied yesterday and it is already soaked in with no pooling or overload. This product went on with a sprayer and then back brushed with a long handled brush, went on quickly on a 1400 sq ft deck and under deck. Looks beautiful. This is April and warm, hope it holds up to winter rains in Wa. State.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Southeast Stained dried in a few hours
I keep reading over and over that stain never dries and stays tacky forever. I used on fresh cedar and unknown type of pine posts that I had also dipped lower and below ground portion with ten percent copper napthenate. I stained entire post including previously dipped below ground portion of post. Post could be handled in a few hours and was 100% dry within 24 hours. Perhaps others or staining over urethane clear coat or some other sealant. Product worked great for me, went a long way, and really brought out character in wood.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Btgr Great for our cedar fence
I bought this to seal a raw cedar fence using a basic Wagner power sprayer and it did a wonderful job sealing the fence. It also sprayed perfectly and was very easy to apply correctly.
Because it's an oil sealant and not acrylic or "hybrid" like Behr and Thompson, it was also very easy to clean up with only mineral spirits. However you also want to be careful with the rags you use as this is a high VOC product and will spontaneously combust if left in the right place. I had a pile of rags start smoking after only a few minutes of sitting in the sun.
It's also truly clear, as the wood looks identical before and after application. So don't count on it if you want your fence to have a darker "wet" look.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Stickytackyruineddeck Wont dry. Sticky forever , Had a Tacky Deck for 2 weeks . Cost me big bucks to strip it all and go back to Thompson
Followed directions, power washed deck, let it dry thoroughly, applied product sparingly with a brush. The darn stuff will not dry. After 2 weeks of dust accumulation and footprints decided to strip it back to bare wood with chemicals and a sander and return to my old (cheaper) favorite Thompson.
Contacted the manufacturer who simply told me "you did it wrong" applied too much etc etc. no help whatsoever.
Never buy this product . Wish i had read the reviews before i purchased !

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by whholder Was a great product on bare wood
We applied this to a freshly sanded redwood deck. The resulting finish was the best we have had on this deck over a 25 year period. Strong, durable and deep. Previous products were easily scratched by the deck furniture. The furniture now slides across the finished wood almost like tile. we have NOT applied to already coated wood.
We also used this product on a new cedar fence. Looks great. Getting ready to do a second coat for winter. Tested on a full section, and worked well. Not tacky.
