Product Overview

DampRid refillable moisture absorbers are the long-term economical solution to moisture and odor control unlike sprays that simply mask odors; DampRid crystals absorb excess moisture from the air that can cause moldy musty odors creating fresher, cleaner air. It won't dry the air excessively to damage plants, furniture or household goods. The refillable moisture absorber can be used in bathrooms, closets, laundry rooms, bedrooms, offices, kitchens, storage closets, boats and anywhere that excess moisture and stagnant air are a problem.

Answer:
Yes! Preserva Wood can be applied to pressure treated wood. We suggest that you allow the wood to air dry for 3 to 4 weeks, so that any extra moisture in the wood has an opportunity to evaporate. This will make the wood more receptive to the stain and it will do a better job of being absorbed.

Our transparent stains are very lightly pigmented, to retain color and enhance the natural beauty of the wood, while providing additional UV protection. Read Less

Answer:
Preserva Wood can be used "as is" and does NOT need to be thinned in order to be sprayed. Preserva Wood is naturally very thin and will easily spray through either a mechanical pump spraying system, or an inexpensive pump sprayer. Try to apply when there is no breeze and always be aware of where any overspray might land. Read Less

Rated 3 out of 5 by from First "clear" option I have ever found After years of using "semi-transparent stain", my cedar deck is a very dark color. I have always been told you cannot use a stain without a tint. I was excited to find a product in a "clear" color so that I could minimize the further darkening of my deck. This product isn't actually "clear", it is about the color of a pot of weak coffee, but the effect is relatively clear. The coverage was impressive. I used 5 gallons on a project that normally takes 6-7 gallons. The only downside is that is takes days and days to fully dry.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from still sticky i bought this product to put on a new cedar deck. the wood was clean and dry and sanded with 60 grit. I applied the product in june and it is now sept. and it is still tacky. it is full of dust and dirt. I tried to sand it off with 60 grit again and all it does it gum up the paper. now I have to chemically clean it and resand and recoat. before winter...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product We have used this product for years on our cedar fence, our whole log cabin, and our deck too. We applied it to the cabin with a sprayer and the fence with a sprayer and another time I used a rllar on the fence. The deck we have always used a rollar, we found that we only did the deck when it really needed it and then it absorbed better and was only tacky about a week. The product is durable and lasts a long time. We live in Montana and winter is hard on wood, but this stuff really lasts. We did our fence shown here three years ago and will do it again this year, the flood lat year was hard on the fence.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do Not Use !!! I am a contractor with 25 plus years experience. I applied on a seasoned deck after pressure washing. I applied with a 3/8 mohair roller skin running the excess off on a roller grid to make sure not to apply to much. I use a roller on seasoned decks instead of a pad because a pad picks up splinters and quickly becomes a mess, I wound up with a tacky deck just like the others here did. The preserva wood rep is sticking with the you used a roller when it says on the can not to use a roller. That is all they got. I could have rolled strawberry jelly mixed with honey on the deck and it wouldn't still be tacky, yet after 4 weeks of 90-100 degree weather (august) the deck is still tacky.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never dries...gets sticky in the sun Absolutely horrible product, avoid at all costs unless you want to spend a weekend sanding down your deck to get this product back off of it. Never dries, doesn't penetrate wood in the least -- you end up wiping off 4/5 of your investment with a towel after application. Worst of all, when the sun comes out, the wood actually seems to exude this stuff and the surface gets so tacky your shoes stick to it. Without question the WORST wood-treatment product I have EVER encountered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product so far Just appl ied yesterday and it is already soaked in with no pooling or overload. This product went on with a sprayer and then back brushed with a long handled brush, went on quickly on a 1400 sq ft deck and under deck. Looks beautiful. This is April and warm, hope it holds up to winter rains in Wa. State.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sticker mess My bro-in-law picked this stuff up for me! recommended by Home Depot and we followed instructions and put only one coat on. It is so sticky in on most of my deck after 2 weeks and some of the days have been close to 80 degrees and most of my deck gets sun and it's still sticky. I called the co that makes this so now I have to buy more product to strip the upper layer of stain off. I am really frustrated!!
