I've always used Presto products but I love their pressure cookers. I have all the sizes that they make. The 6 quart is great for medium size product meals that one has to make.

Easy to put together. Standard pressure cooker, works as it should. Shiny steel. Holds lots (cooked 5 lbs. of chicken legs easily).

Basic pressure cooker, can't buy in store, must order online,100% better than electronic models, old unit last 30 years, gaskets finally worn out. PRESTO best on the market....

We are intimidated by all the small parts it takes to assembly this Pressure cooker.
We are waiting for a friend to help us with this project, or may have to give it away and buy something a lot easier.

I love this. Have never had one before and absolutely love how it cooks. It's super quick and makes the meat so tender that you don't even have to have a knife to cut it. I was leery about the pot at first and I called the call center. She reassured me that it would not blow up and recommended that I do a test run first with 2 cups of water. It worked well, it began to spew some steam out the corked area on the lid and the pressure handle, but once it was past that, the pressure regulator began to rock like it's suppose to. I can't wait to make something else. So far I have made beef stew and ham and dry beans, next will be corned beef and later beef tips and noodles. I am using a glass top electric range, no problem there.
