Answer:
In my opinion this isn't large enough for that. There is a big difference between pressure canners and pressure cookers. You may need to get one of those that is like 16 to 20 quarts.

The information used to support canning in pressure cookers was based on research done in the late 1970's. The current recommendation from the United States Department of Agriculture indicates that to pressure can you will need to use a vessel that is specially a pressure canner, which holds at minimum four quart-size jars. Note that pressure canners are generally 12-quart size or larger. Presto currently has 16 and 23 quart canners.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Terrified for now We are intimidated by all the small parts it takes to assembly this Pressure cooker. We are waiting for a friend to help us with this project, or may have to give it away and buy something a lot easier. Sorry September 10, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good choice it was a good choice i would say. My wife is happy with it July 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love This!!! I love this. Have never had one before and absolutely love how it cooks. It's super quick and makes the meat so tender that you don't even have to have a knife to cut it. I was leery about the pot at first and I called the call center. She reassured me that it would not blow up and recommended that I do a test run first with 2 cups of water. It worked well, it began to spew some steam out the corked area on the lid and the pressure handle, but once it was past that, the pressure regulator began to rock like it's suppose to. I can't wait to make something else. So far I have made beef stew and ham and dry beans, next will be corned beef and later beef tips and noodles. I am using a glass top electric range, no problem there. January 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wish I had bought one sooner The pressure cooker is the only way to cook it speeds up cooking by hours it is simple to use all you have to do is follow instructions. I would buy another. March 12, 2015
