Glad to find this replacement for one we have had for years. We accidentally melted the old one by setting it on a hot burner on the stove. Looked at new ones and did not like them as well as the we had.

This was our second Powerpop--We wore the first one rout, because my husband likes popcorn, and he can make it with just a small amount of butter spray and sea salt.. This one performs as well as the last one did, and we were very well satisfied with the service we received from your store.

the microwave popcorn popper by presto is the best i have ever owned. We bought our last one over 12 years ago and being it's all plastic it was very durable, fast, easy to clean, dishwasher safe, and best of all it pops all the kernels except maybe 1 or 2. It also gives you the option of using oil/butter or dry pop for health minded individuals. We bought a $30+ electric popper, that had a stirrer on the bottom to prevent burning as a replacement, that did not work at all, only 1/3 of the kernels popper and if you let it go longer they burned and it was also by Presto. At under $14 it is a great buy. As for the power cups, in the retail stores they are about $4 for a set of eight but you can get them on line for under $2 for a set of 8. Buy it, you will never go back to stove top or electric popcorn poppers.

While the concentrator at the bottom of the bowl may help cut down on the amount of old maids it sure don't illiminate them. We have tried assorted popcorns always obtaining the same results. Very easy to burn if you don't stop the instant it slows its popping sound.. So not for us that are hard of hearing over the sounds of microwave. I don't use the popcorn setting per their instructions. 1 postive is the lid will easily lift up when you fill with a touch to many kernals without impeding the popping of the corn. Concentrator turns color after first use but so far we are sitll using the same one and going on 10 sessions now with use of real butter.

Over the years I've tried all types of poppers. I like popping without oil or butter. Home Depot had the best price I could find for this item. I bought this for a vacation home. I've had one for around 10 years. This gadget does a fine job in just a few minutes in the microwave. Its easy to clean by just wiping it out with a paper towel or a rag. Wait a few minutes before you clean it as the heat concentrator disk at the bottom of the bowl can be very hot. Try Cabot powdered cheddar cheese sprinkled on your popcorn. It adds a great sharp and salty taste. I get around 8 batches before the concentrator has burned spots and I have to change it. Walmart has Presto PowerCup Popcorn Concentrators, Pack of 8 for under $5.

This is the second purchase of the Powerpop, after using our first one for years. This is by far the best method we've found for popping corn in the microwave with no oil. It beats air poppers, too. You do have to watch and remove the popper when the kernel popping rate gets slow, or the corn will burn. There are fewer unpopped kernels than in air poppers, too.
Do replace the concentrator on the bottom every once in a while, but they aren't too expensive. We love this product!

I first became aware of this item in the mid 1990s. We totally used the first one and found I could now order it on line. As long as I am able to eat popcorn, it will be popped in this great little popper. Easy to use and clean.

Popcorn tastes much better using the Powerpop than a Hotair popper. The only thing I do not like is that you have to purchase Power Pop Powercup Concentrators for the bottom. I can only get two pops out of one Concentrator. Seems like it could have been designed better.
