This is a very well constructed pro grade gravity sprayer.Everything about it is quality.I use it for everything from modding computer cases to applying clear coat to furniture,it can spray just about anything you need for a project. It is easy to clean and maintain. You can take it completely apart for cleaning. The one big thing I love is it comes right out of the box ready for your air compressor. It will spray up to 3 inches wide or down to a very fine line if needed.Remember if using your air compressor to turn it down, air pressure is 20 to 75 pounds max depending on paint. You cant go wrong with this sprayer and I keep coming up with new ways to use it.It has turned into a must have for me.

Preval vFan Gravity Spray System is a top quality airbrush. The system comes with:
- Airbrush tool with (2) spray tips
- Pressure tank regulator for optional ENERGY air propellant cans
- (2) Small jars with caps for storing unused thinned paint
- Air hose with 1/4 in. NPT
- Instruction manual, tools and wooden case
This air brush works differently from siphon type airbrushes that have a jar on the bottom of the brush and hose to siphon up the paint. This one uses a cup on the top of the brush which uses gravity to feed paint down into the brush. Its less cumbersome without dangling jars. The air brush is a precision tool, well machined parts with a high quality finish. As provided the airbrush works with an air compressor. You need to provide your own male fitting if you are using a standard garage air compressor with a line filter. They offer an optional aerosol air supply called ENERGY too that eliminates the compressor making it more convenient. You can run the air brush hose to the aerosol can with the included regulator and it is now portable freeing you from a cumbersome main compressor hose.
To check out the airbrush used it on a birdhouse project I was putting together. Its a small project, but allowed me to try out the feel of the tool. What's nice is the airbrush feels good in the hand, balanced and the fine spray tip is very precise up close. This tip is used for pin strips and they have another included one, a fan tip, for wider coverage up to three inches. A good tip is to first use water in the paint reservoir and practice using the brush on a piece of newspaper until you are comfortable with it. It does take practice in adjusting the paint's viscosity to get a good finish and to control over spray. Also, I went on Youtube and watched several clips Preval has put up as the included instructions are sketchy. What was helpful in the booklet is a paint dilution chart which is a guide for how much to thin out different paints.

This is a very high-quality airbrush, made in the USA. The materials, fit and finish of all of the items included is superb, and all came fitted in a very nice wooden box.
I chose this gravity model for it's ability to apply heavier paints than your typical airbrush. Using it with air supplied from my small 2-gallon twin-stack compressor, I had no trouble laying down a nice finish on anything that I tried it on, after thinning the paint accordingly. A simple change of tips takes you from fine lines to heavy coverage. Simple to use, and simple to clean. Highly recommended!

This is an extremely high quality airbrush and is built to last. I've used airbrushes before in the past for small detail work on models that I built for fun and I've never experienced the amount of precision that vFan Gravity has. It can go from 1/16" to 3", depending on the tip used, and the control is so fluid and smooth that it makes great designs.
Everything is very sturdy, with thick metal components and a reinforced air hose. It also came in an elegant wooden box with foam inserts to keep everything in place in between uses.
I never had any problems with the paint coming out evenly and it was simple to clean. I also liked the fact that it could use both a compressor or canned compressed air. I have a compressor so I preferred to just use that and save the canned air for quick touch up jobs.
The included instructions were also very helpful, it explained every part and included a thinning guide and general tips.

This is a very well constructed unit that is easy to use. I do a lot of hobby painting and have used it to paint large canvas backgrounds and have even touched up some garden furniture as well. I love the way it feels in my hand and I know it's a tool that I will use often. Comes in a foam padded wooden box for easy storage and portability. Can be used with almost any medium, just follow the manufacturers guide on thinning your choice.

The gravity sprayer works well , I've found it to spray mixed activated paint better than suction air brushes. Still needs some thinning but not as much as with the suction gun. The gravity cup also has a screw on lid which you don't see on allot of other brands.
Included are a fine point tip along with a fan for wider spraying. I tested this out on doing some touch up work on a vintage aircraft using a two part activated paint. Fine lines are not a crisp in detail but great for filling small scratch lines with color followed up with another gun with clear. The fan nozzles works good with even pattern and laying down material.
This is by means not a gun for beginners but certainly a good tool to learn with. It's a good platform if you have airbrush experience with high quality results.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by hpiguy Easy to Use, All Metal Assembly, Two Tips Included
I use airbrushes quite a bit. In fact, I own the Preval siphon feed airbrush and wanted this gravity feed airbrush for small jobs and fine line detail to complement it. I was not disappointed.
This gravity feed airbrush is of the same high quality I've come to expect from Preval. It comes in a very attractive all wood, foam padded case which holds the airbrush, six feet of fabric air hose, two color mixing jars, an air valve for their canned air, tools to disassemble the brush and two tips (fine line and wide spray).
The airbrush is made from all metal. Chrome steel for the color cup, tips and main body, anodized aluminum for the color cup lid and handle. It's sized just right for almost any hands and has a heavy robust feel in the hand, which is what you want.
To supply the airbrush you can use Preval's canned air system or you can use an air compressor. Neither are included of course. I use a small compressor and the included air hose screws right on.
OPERATION is simple and it's ready to go from the box. Simply fill the color cup with your desired laquer, acrylic or enamel and get to work. Being an internal mix dual action brush means you depress the lever for air flow, then slowly pull back on the lever to release paint in a variable amount. The more you pull back, the more paint you get.
You can use the small tip for fine lines or the wide tip for heavy coverage over a wide surface. Changing between tips is as easy as unscrewing one and then attaching the other. No need to clean out the brush first, it's a quick swap.
Coverage is even and steady. As long as you thin and filter your paints properly you will not have an issue. The wide tip will cover areas fast with a nice thin coat. The fine tip allows you to deliver paint in super thin lines or small spot coverage.
Cleaning was easy, just use your normal thinners and run it through the brush. If need be you can take the needle out for deep cleaning. Spare needles and parts if required or for repair are available.
There is one minor issue, the lid for the color cup has clogged threads out of the box. A quick swipe with a wire brush cleans the threads and it goes on and off the color cup easy after that. This was the only 'problem' and it wasn't much at that.
Overall this is a great airbrush. I love the gravity feed style for small jobs and up close details. This is the type of airbrush that you will not outgrow. You can depend on it for many years.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Daniel Easy to use! Better then a paint brush!
The vFan Gravity System, better then I expected. Never used a high quality airbrush before Vfan. I successfully used it with both canned air and my standard table top compressor. After a little practice on paper, It delivered primer, base coats, and clear coat. I was able to fully control paint flow and fan width. Nice to know this high quality product is made in the USA. Great user manual helped me get a quick start on painting my Pinewood Derby race car for this years races.
