You can use any solvent or water based paint with this system. What you paint is up to you.

vFan Spray System is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 90.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Paint wall - Happy Wife I did it!!! At first I didn't think it would work, but this little painter works great. First thing is to open up the package and make sure you know what all the parts do. Also important not just for the testing, but you sort of learn how it works. For the PRO, they already know, but for the DIYer that never did this before it is almost mandatory. Remember it is better to mask and cover than to have a "Paint Malfunction" and spend the rest of the day cleaning. For the PRO I recommend a small air pump, which I am sure they have. I will go to Home Depot and buy myself for about $79.00 a small air pump so I don't have to worry about the can freezing. Also remember to keep the can "Upright" or else freezing air comes out. here is the part two of my you tube video, but watch part one below and than cut and paste the part 2 here

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome The vFan Spray System is a totally awesome product. I do a lot of wood working and go through quite a few cans of Krylon for each project. With this I can actually spray my urethane paints and stains. I had been using brushes, but that meant a lot of sanding in between coats. Using this sprayer, it cuts down on the sanding quite a bit. Hardly any over spray at all and the clean up is a breeze. The really nice thing about this is I can hook it up to my air compressor, which eliminates the need for using all the canned air. The bottle sizes are excellent for my needs and I can just keep the poly in the jars for long term storage. Great for touch up painting as well..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Portable, Great Spray Control, Easy Clean-Up In my spare time I enjoy building models. Painting the models to resemble a lifelike appearance has always been the biggest challenge. This air brush allows me to put the right amount of paint onto the surface. It also is easy to control feathering, blending and over-spray. There are some projects where using a conventional air compressor is more hassle than the project. This system allows you to quickly begin painting. It is also portable as well. I the couple of small projects I used this on, there was plenty of pressure remaining in the can. My best guess would be the compressed air can will have enough pressure to apply as much paint as a full sized spray paint can. Unfortunately I do not have enough projects at this time where I can provide a more precise life expectancy on the compressed air can. This will also save me money in the log run by not having to purchase individual spray cans. I can now mix colors rather than have to rely on factory premixed selections. The air brush is easy to disassemble for cleaning and has a nice case for storage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is an impressive kit I like this vFan Spray System. The kit includes the vFan airbrush, 2 bottles of compressed air, paint jars and a few other accessories. I do some crafts and wood working and occasionally use a few cans of spray paint for each project. Using the sprayer, I can cut down on the sanding between coats of stain or urethane. Very little, if any, over spray and the cleanup is a breeze. I can hook it up to my small air compressor eliminating the need for the canned air. I would suggest the purchase of some quick connect adapters and longer hose to remove you from the noise of the air compressor. All in all this is a great product if you are crafty and like to use spray paint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from vFan Spray System I am not an airbrush expert but for my daughter this is amazing. She has been doing airbrushing for years and is really good at it. She did a fantastic job on our Halloween pumpkins which got many comments this past holiday. I got to use it on my granddaughter's new wood swingset. I loaded it up with Thompson's advanced water seal which was a bit watery so it sprayed out very easily. I don't think that a thick latex paint would work all that well but that is just a guess. Overall my daughter is quite pleased with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool to own As it arrived it came well put together and ready to do some work. The kit includes several items to put together a good portable and reliable system. I've painted the trim in my bathroom since the trim is white and the walls are beige. It sprays much better than a brush or a spray gun when doing a smaller area or detailed area. I've also painted some of my tools with plastic paint. The entire thing looks and feels good I can't believe I didn't get this sooner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from time saver This is a nice kit. The compressed air is handy so I can take it with me and don't need to use a compressor when not at home. I also like the ability to use this with a compressor for larger projects. The jars a nice size so you don't have to continually fill them up for bigger projects. The sprayer is pretty easy to control and clean up was reasonable. The components are nice quality and it is nice to have the kit for storage and spare parts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Limited Overspray / Unique Tool / For Smaller Projects I had to touch up some peeled paint on a front door of a condo I rent, and this came in handy. I also used it to paint my 2007 Camry bumper. I ordered a new bumper, & my Preval vFan System painted it & clear coated the bumper after buying automotive pain at a local auto parts paint store. I would not use it on too many bigger projects, because it is for smaller work where you don't want overspray. I have a regular spray gun for those jobs.
