Answer: 
Go to Prime Line website. Options include 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4". Prime Line website will list which product number is for which size shelf. Why Home Depot does not list this information is a major oversight.

This item supports a 3/4 inch thick shelf... please see attached drawing. The 1/4 inch dimension is in reference to the peg diameter as stated in your question.

Yes, these Shelf Support Pegs can be removed and relocated. Please see the attached drawing included with this reply. In order to remove and relocate these support pins, the tabs which lock in the shelves must be pushed in and held in while twisting the shelf upward in a clockwise direction if lifting the shelf from the left side. If shelf will be lifted upward starting from the right side, push and hold Read More
Yes, these Shelf Support Pegs can be removed and relocated. Please see the attached drawing included with this reply. In order to remove and relocate these support pins, the tabs which lock in the shelves must be pushed in and held in while twisting the shelf upward in a clockwise direction if lifting the shelf from the left side. If shelf will be lifted upward starting from the right side, push and hold in the locking tabs of the support pins (on the right) while twisting the shelf upward in a counter-clockwise direction from the right side. To accomplish this task a third or fourth hand may be required. Another option would be to slide in a couple of old credit cards or business cards in between the shelf's edge and the locking tab of the support pegs... this may assist in the locking tabs being pressed in by the cards when pushing up on one side of the shelf. Make sure the cards to be used are no longer needed as it is possible they will scratch and no longer be useful. Once the shelf is removed from its supports, the supports can be pulled out from the cabinet and relocated to desired height. Read Less

I'm replacing a couple pegs that broke when I tried to remove them from kitchen shelving and I don't know the hole size in the cabinets. I have been to Home Depot and Lowes and neither carries these pegs in stock.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Why would anyone use these "shipping clips" as permanent support pegs? These are the clips used by many cabinet manufacturers for shipping. They hold the shelves securely in place with the locking clip that goes over the top of the shelf. The problem is trying to change a shelf location after cabinets have been installed. It is very difficult to "unlock" the top clip, especially on a corner cabinet where the shelf is supported on 4 sides. Many times a clip will break trying to remove it. Not a problem if you just plan to replace all of them with some nice metal support pegs that match your outside hardware. I remove all the clear plastic shipping clips, (and shelves) before installing cabinets and then replace with some nice cabinet "jewelery" to support the shelves. This makes it easy for the homeowner to move a shelf location later if they desire and the "fancy" metal support pegs look nicer too. February 9, 2016
