Answer:
Blinds are usually mounted to the window casing. If you mount them to the top of the window frame, they could distort the frame and damage the window itself. It is not hard to mount them to the casing if the proper screws are used.

Are these drawer slides adjustable in length? What would be needed for trimming the back of the track if it is possible?

This glide is too long for my current dresser depth and must be trimmed to fit. If the galvanized steel track can be trimmed, I would like to know how that works or if the manufacturer makes a shorter length track.

The tracks can be cut on the small end, but be sure you leave them long enough to fit into the adapter that mounts to the back of the cabinet. Measure the distance from front to back and cut the track only 1/4 inch shorter and it should work perfectly. Do not cut the end that is shaped and will mount to the front of the cabinet. Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. This drawer slide track is not adjustable, but cutting it to size off the back end of the metal track should not pose a problem, as it just rests in the cavity of the plastic rear guide. I would suggest double checking your measurement to cut, holding the track firmly in vice if available, and cutting carefully with a hacksaw. Use caution as the cut Read More

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Took some thinking... For me... This installation took a little more Time than originally planned. Reason being that the Cabinet Opening where the Rollers were to be mounted needed to be raised a good Inch (1") so that the Rollers would work correctly and not Bottom Out. So I needed to add a piece of lumber to remedy this. But besides that extra work... I am Satisfied with the end result. I Would/Will use these again. March 2, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good for the price I was able to install it without major problems, however the metal of the rollers mounting brackets is thin and not very strong, until now since about three weeks has been working good. January 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by replacements easy to install and as close to the original as possible October 20, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice kit Full set nothing needed but tools ................ September 1, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Drawer Slide The kit contained sufficient parts for the kitchen drawer, and after a modest amount of work, I made the drawer slide work like new. July 28, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Metal Track Kit Review No real instructions on how to position your drawer for mounting. Hint- Make sure drawer is pushed all the way in and square, then position your end track and mark your drill holes for the screws. The two rollers on both ends are a joke. Had to bend them up to try and gain some support for the drawer. They are not strong enough. I should have just left the existing plastic tabs on both ends, at least they did not squeal every time the drawer is opened. Good Luck. April 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Original replacement Pretty much an exact replacement for the original drawer guide. No problems with installation or alignment. If you can't upgrade to a modern drawer slide, this is the way to go. February 3, 2015
