Answer:
Blinds are usually mounted to the window casing. If you mount them to the top of the window frame, they could distort the frame and damage the window itself. It is not hard to mount them to the casing if the proper screws are used.

Are these drawer slides adjustable in length? What would be needed for trimming the back of the track if it is possible?

This glide is too long for my current dresser depth and must be trimmed to fit. If the galvanized steel track can be trimmed, I would like to know how that works or if the manufacturer makes a shorter length track.

The tracks can be cut on the small end, but be sure you leave them long enough to fit into the adapter that mounts to the back of the cabinet. Instructions were sorely lacking, and even after fighting with this and adjusting the back plate and drawer roller a few times to get everything to line up, the operation is still very rough. They should have included flat head screws for attaching the rollers for the front of the drawer face, because the rounded head screws stick up just far enough that they scrape on the bottom of the drawer rather than staying out of the way to allow it to glide on the roller. If these hadn't been such a huge pain to install in a narrow cabinet frame, I would've taken it back out and replaced it with something better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good replacement option for circa 1980 drawer track I searched for a replacement back plate for our 1980 cabinet drawer track. The original back plate was plastic and had cracked. It must be different than modern sizes as I never could find just the back plate. I was prepared to replace the whole drawer track, but fortunately didn't need to, the metal back plate from this kit worked with the old track. This kit would have worked fine if I had needed to replace the whole shebang. The quality seems as good or better than the original drawer track. See the photo of the old plastic back plate, in case you have the same style back plate.

Purchased 5 of these for new drawers I had made for our mid-70s doublewide. Due to flimsy construction of the unit that houses the drawers, a single bottom slide was our only option. These looked like the best product for the job, and I think they are, given what we had to work with. They installed very easily, and they work well. I gave them just 3 stars, because the operation of the drawers is definitely not the smooth, easy movement one gets with slides on either side. Still, for our purposes, this was the best option.

This single roller under the center of the drawer is good if you cannot build up the sides of the drawer for two rollers on the side of the drawer. I would have preferred the side rails but it would have been too much work. This under drawer center rail works OK. I put it in a few weeks ago to replace a noisy wooden rail. You have to be careful of the vertical location of the rail support at the back of the cabinet so that the drawer opens correctly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Metal Track Kit Review No real instructions on how to position your drawer for mounting. Hint- Make sure drawer is pushed all the way in and square, then position your end track and mark your drill holes for the screws. The two rollers on both ends are a joke. Had to bend them up to try and gain some support for the drawer. They are not strong enough. I should have just left the existing plastic tabs on both ends, at least they did not squeal every time the drawer is opened. Good Luck.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for the price I was able to install it without major problems, however the metal of the rollers mounting brackets is thin and not very strong, until now since about three weeks has been working good.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Took some thinking... For me... This installation took a little more Time than originally planned. Reason being that the Cabinet Opening where the Rollers were to be mounted needed to be raised a good Inch (1") so that the Rollers would work correctly and not Bottom Out. So I needed to add a piece of lumber to remedy this. But besides that extra work... I am Satisfied with the end result. I Would/Will use these again.
