Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding this item from Prime-Line Products. The term “jamb mounted” refers to where this guide is installed, or “mounted” on your shower door frame. Kindly refer to the drawing attached below which will illustrate where this guide would be correctly mounted. Many of our guides install on the bottom area of the shower door frame, others at the top… this particular guide can be installed inside the left or right vertical frame members of the shower door frame. These vertical “legs” of the shower door frame are also known as “Jambs,” or “door jambs.” In our product description we’ve specified that this guide is “jamb mounted” because it mounts on the door jamb and not the bottom sill or the top header.
In response to your question; most likely this is not the replacement part you need if it is to be mounted on the bottom of your shower door. Prime-Line Products has more than 20 different guides that install at the bottoms of sliding shower doors. Feel free to upload a photograph here of your broken part for further assistance, or you can also contact their customer service department at the number and/or email below where they will be more than happy to assist you with finding the correct replacement part.
