Customer Reviews

Sliding Door Roller Assembly, 1-1/8 in. Steel Ball Bearing, 9/16 in. x 1-1/16 in. Housing is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product A little late on this review, in that I installed two units on my patio door on 8/2/2010. Yes, that's 6 years ago and I'm writing the review now, because my son has a problem with his patio doors and has asked me for some help. It took me about 1/2 hour to get my door out of the track after removing the adjusting screw. (Please be sure to protect your carpeting if you have that. A bunch of rags came in handy and ensured domestic tranquility.) I was able to get the first roller unit out and then the fun began. I spent about an hour measuring the unit and comparing it to ALL the DIFFERENT types that are sold. Well, I finally settled for the one I'm writing a review. I ordered two unit at $8.34/each, you really need two for the door and the price is cheaper today, on-line and had it delivered to my local store. I put the door back in the track and told my wife not to use the door thereby ensuring domestic tranquility once, again. A week later, I picked up the rollers at Home Depot and installed the parts within 1/2 hour. I played with the adjusting screws to ensure the door was level and the locking mechanism was aligned with the striker plate. Not too bad for ~$20. By the way, there are some very good videos on Youtube to ease any anxiety you may have about undertaking this project. Lastly, the door is working just fine as of today.
