B Tab, 1" nylon roller, housing is 9/16" wide, housing length 5/8", overall length 1 5/8", baby version of D1513 on your hangers. Can you help locate a replacement. I have a very heavy sliding screen door for my patio. Looks just like the D1513 but smaller.

How do u remove exsisting tandem sliding glass door roller assembly 11/16" x 3-1/8"

Asked by: Coachp
Thank you for your inquiry regarding this item from Prime-Line Products. Patio Door rollers fit into the Bottom Rail of the door – one on each end. The bottom rail will be “U” shaped so that the roller assembly will insert upwards into the channel. What holds the roller in place is the key to understanding how to replace it. Often there is a screw that goes through the side stile and into the bottom rail – holding the stile & rail together. This screw may capture the roller at the back end via a threaded hole, tab, etc. In some cases, usually older doors, the bottom rail needs to be removed so that you can access the roller. Once the roller is removed, the new roller is inserted through the end & any hook tabs on the top inserted and the rail slots & bent over. In addition, there may be a 10-32 screw placed through the rail & holding the roller from the top. The bottom rail is then replaced and firmly reattached. The vinyl glazing, bottom rail, etc. should be cleaned first before reassembling. Pay attention to how the roller is installed, because how it comes out is how it will go back in. Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding this item from Prime-Line Products. Unfortunately there is not one wheel that is “standard” to all sliding glass doors, and there is no sure way to determine the correct replacement roller assembly without removing one and matching its dimensions to those listed online. Door manufacturers can often use more than one design within a given series or product line used over the years, making it sometimes difficult to provide an exact match when relying on manufacturer name and series alone. I would encourage you to visit Prime-Line’s website by following the steps below to find the correct replacement roller assembly your door requires.

For tips on removing the patio sliding door please visit www.primeline.net and follow these steps: 1. Tandem Sliding Glass Door Roller Assembly, 11/16 in. x 3-1/8 in. Unique Housing is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worked with modification Rollers are working fine but had to make modifications to secure them in the doors. The "U" bracket at the front is useless. It should be enclosed with a hole for the screw or bolt to hold in place. I had to use 2 nuts for it to hold.
