Answer:
Length of latch should be 3 inches. Width should be 1/2 inch and depth should be 3/16th of an inch. The latches I ordered and that would be three pairs were either too wide and much too thick. The length was fine.

As these tilt latches may be used by various window manufacturers, it may or may not be possible that this particular tilt latch is used by Patriot Windows. My suggestion would be to remove one tilt latch from your window by following the steps below and comparing its dimensions to those illustrated to see if you’ve found a match.

D. Confirm the dimensions of your existing latch match those of the replacement latch.
E. New latch should slide in snugly.
F. Reinsert sash into frame in reverse order.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product and customer service Installation was easy and the product performs well. June 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Latches work just fine. Latches were a tad longer than what my windows have, but by modifying the window slot, they work great! June 16, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great replacement! I removed the old latches from our windows and ordered these. Exact replacements and takes about 5 seconds to replace. These latches wear out on all window types so I'm glad they are easy to replace and available and pretty cheap. My only drawback was that they only had 1 basic model in stores so you basically have to order them if you want an exact replacement for your window. Nice to have "deliver to store" option so no shipping cost to the customer. September 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just what I was looking for. Moved into a house that had replacement windows from a company that went out of business. Looked all over the area for these latches without any luck. Home Depot came through. These are the exact match for my windows. January 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Impossible to find...till now! We have tried and tried to find latches to replace broken ones in our Traco windows. All in vain, till now! My wife found these on the Home Depot website; we ordered them and had them shipped for free to the store; and they fit perfectly. Each takes about one minute to install, and we used about 12 of them. We are selling our home, and it was great to get this done. Thanks! February 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I have been trying to find the right latches for my Home Depot storm door and again these don't fit. No problem with what they sent or the quality . Did not fit. No fault of the product. Wish Home Depot would sell or could get replacement parts for the products they sell. They just say "we dont't sell anything like that" September 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Replacement Window Tilt Latch I was so glad to find these! I have some cheap no name brand of replacement windows, and at least one of the latches have broke off almost every window in my house. I wasn't sure what to buy, and had no idea what to even get, since I didn't have a part number to reference, and decided to buy one set to see if they would work. They're not the exact same type that came with the window, the ones I had had a raised release button, this one had a sliding release latch, but it fit the window perfectly with the same function. It was easy to install, since the original one was hard and brittle, and broke into a bunch of pieces, so I didn't have to take the original out, and I just slid this new one into the hole, and lightly tapped it all the way in. It may help to use some WD-40 or other lubricant to help slide it in easier. The diagram online was helpful, with the measurements and a drawing of it. I measured one of the existing tilt latches, and the measurements were exactly the same. They're only sold online, so I bought one set to see if it would work, so now I know which ones to buy to repair the other windows. This company also sells other replacement parts for windows, which I"m glad, because all the original locking latches on my windows are broken also. I elected to pick them up at the store, they came in less than a week. They're sold in sets of two, one for the left side, and one for the right. Made in the USA, definitely recommend! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Window latches These are difficult to find. Thankfully Home Depot had them. They were perfect. January 31, 2014
