Do you turn a switch to light the logs? If so, where is the switch located?

Can the switch be located outside the firebox?

Is there a remote control included or available?

Answer:
Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot, Neil. This gas fireplace log set is non-electric so a remote is not available. It is lit with a match and slowly turning the gas on with the gas shutoff valve located outside the unit. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Happy with Logs The logs are nice looking and were delivered about 2 weeks before they were due to be delivered, so that was a nice surprise. My husband installed the logs and he had to make a couple trips to the hardware store to get some kind of connector that was not included with the logs but he's handy, so it was no big deal. We are very pleased with the logs. February 10, 2016
