Answer:
See page 13 of the installation manual.
This stove is pretty slick it allows you to choose the gas type by running the gas line to the proper port for the type of gas being used and turning a switch. This means if you move to a place with another type of gas you can easily take the stove with you.
I am not typically a fan of vent free but the gas conversion assembly is cool.

Answer:
You get 91,000 BTUs per gallon of propane. This stove at it's maximum puts out 23,000 BTUs per hour. You will get really close to four hours, with the stove on high out of a gallon of propane.

This unit should not be used as a primary heat source. The oxygen depletion sensor may shut the stove off. How quickly the shut off happens depends on the available oxygen. Propane is an expensive fuel. It typically runs a little more expensive than electricity. Pellets are still less expensive than either electric or propane. If you can have both stoves you will be better off. On a day where you just need to take the chill off for a bit the gas stove is easier. For a day that requires the stove to run all day us the pellet. You may get away with running both at the same time, but keep in mind if both stoves are taking air from the house you may end up with a negative pressure issue especially if you run an exhaust fan or the gas stove may just shut off. A negative pressure issue could cause either stove not to run properly or efficiently.
I use two stoves to heat my house. The pellet is my work horse and the propane stove is the supplemental. The combo saves me an average of $700.00 per year and it's not too labor intensive. Read Less

We had this unit in our cabin and we have had so many problems with it. When we got it some of the logs were broken, when we had it on, it smelled so bad and stunk up the cabin, and it has been beeping now for months. Since the cabin is only accessible by snowmobile in the winter, this is the only time we have been able to get it out of the cabin. It seems that this warranty should cover it?

The beeping is most likely happening because the batteries in the remote receiver need to be replaced. See page 16 of the manual about the remote.
The smell could be caused by many factors. See page 25 for the reason. Some people are more sensitive to the odors that vent free products

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice stove Great stove for the money. Puts out a good amount of heat. Only have used it for a couple days but our main heating system hasn't had to turn on nearly as much. November 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very attractive This gas heater/stove suits our purpose. We needed a narrow stove and did not want to pay thousands of $$'s The construction is good and heavy, arrived undamaged. The top and the sides get hot unlike another stove we use downstairs. Overall, very happy with this product. May 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Highly recommended! We live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and bought this back in October and it heats 500 sq ft no problem. Even heats the upstairs nicely. It really makes to house look warm and inviting. Love seeing it on when we come in from blowing and shoveling. Putting it together was easy. We did have a gas hook up all set so we just hooked it up and turned it on, we do recommend if you get this unit to get the blower with it. I have a small fan in the back blowing out the heat. Works great but will be getting the blower soon. January 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product. Keeps our rooms warm! No problems so far. Realized at installation that ventless has its own possible difficulties unless you have air coming in and going out around it. Our house is far from airtight so we think it will be OK and only run the fireplace intermittently as needed. December 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for our cabana!! This little stove heats our out door space perfectly! We love the ambiance and actual flame over our old electronic heater. The remote control makes it easy to operate. E couldn't be happier! December 8, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Arrived Damaged I own a Vermont Casting vent free gas stove. The Vermont Castings is made of cast iron and very sturdy. The ProCom is made of thin stamped metal. The box arrived damaged and when removing the stove from the box by lifting from the top, which is tack welded, the top broke and the top came off. I will be returning to the store. November 1, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Quality You get what you pay for. This is stamped metal, not cast iron as the well know US manufactured versions. Missing pieces, returned to Home Depot. Instruction manual very difficult to understand. November 10, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ProCom 26 in. Vent-Free Propane Gas Stove Great stove heats fast. I like the remote, with adjustable temp range. I was disappointed that the imitation wood was damaged in shipping, but was able to repair. October 20, 2015
