Rated 5 out of 5Â by AZSue Excellent vent free fireplace - cost effective heating!
This fireplace is very energy efficient. My husband built a beautiful wood corner cabinet to custom fit it to our vintage home. Used green marble tile to complete the cabinet and raised hearth. This was one of her (the home's) 100 year birthday presents. We purchased the optional blower; blower's installation instructions need clarification on how to access the upper portion of the fireplace.

The gas logs, consisting of 5 are easy to install with the help of the instructions that are provided with the product. It can be said that with the help of the instructions the fire box can be set up and installed with the same ease as it takes to install the logs. Take your time and carefully read all information, and be certain you fully understand every step in detail before you proceed. Be reminded of the danger involved with gas. The thermostat keeps heat constant and it provides plenty of heat in our near 1000 sq. ft. area

Simple fireplace, with attractive log set and realistic flame. It's easy to use and heats a room very quickly. It doesn't have a glass window, but a mesh screen.

The vent-free duel fuel fire place insert is a good buy for
The money. It was easy to install and it works great. Seem to be happy with it so far. I haven't tried it in the winter month's yet because I just purchased it in April. Seems to really put out a lot of heat.

Measurements of the unit in the manual are wrong.
Though I have know way of measuring other than comparing my other 2 gas fireplaces no way does this produce the BTU's claimed.
Two of the logs came broken
When alternative fireplaces sell in the thousands of dollars, a $400 fireplace is a bargain unless you need more BTU's
