I use a 20 lb tank and it works fine. I have used the heater for about 16 to 20 hours on high and low and the tank has not run out yet.

ONLY WORKS WITH 100LB TANKS???

If this is true (based on the other customer's questions)... you need to fix your descriptions!! "22hrs on 20lb tank"
Asked by: Charger
This product will work with a 20 pound tank.

Will the heater work on a 40 lb. tank?

I would rather not buy a 100 lb tank.
Asked by: happy
Don't listen to sales and support. Yes it will run on any size tank. The higher pound tank the longer it will last but the pressure is the same because it's controlled by the regulators.

I own this heater. I notice when turned on the motor take a while to come up to speed. Makes sort of whirring noise. Is this normal? I may have to return it soon if this cannot be confirmed normal. It is quieter than the first heater I bought, a Dynaglo 30/60 K. It ran good but was too noisy. Thanks.
Asked by: TRYMAN
Mine comes up to speed almost instantly and the noise made is the normal fan sound from start to operation.

Was very difficult to light the second time and the finish was very poor (finger marks and hand prints) in the paint. Manufacturer's customer service was terrible.. Couldn't get through the first day, called back the second day and was on hold for 20 minutes. Customer service rep was totally Didn't care about the poor finish, said "it wasn't a warranty issue" and didn't seem to care about the poor quality, she also didn't have any solution or interest in the lighting difficulty. Sorry I didn't spend a little more and buy the Dewalt heater.

I have had the heater for about a month and have needed to use it 5 times. It warms my 3 car garage and workshop on high and low is all that I need to warm just my 12 x 40 workshop. It does make some fan noise but not as bad as I thought it would. After a period of time it just becomes background white noise. I can still hear my music or TV by just turning the volume up a couple of clicks. The best feature is the adjustability of the heat output. I have recommended the unit to a couple of people at work who were also in the market for a garage/workshop heater.
