Hello - my electrical box is off-center from the light fixture. Would it still be possible to feed the wires through the back mounting hardware either through an existing hole, or through a newly drilled hole?

Answer:
The fixture will accommodate an off-center box, but as you mentioned, you might need to modify the holes to create a passage for the wire. Make sure you follow electrical code requirements for installation.

The warning on the instructions states that the chemicals in this product are known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Should I be concerned about having this in my house? These details should have been provided online with the product description before purchasing.

Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. This light fixture is made primarily of steel and glass with some components being brass and zinc. The fixture is then electroplated in Brushed Nickel finish. Cal Prop 65 is most important for products where continuous contact is made with bare hands or mouth and especially by children. Since the fixture will be hanging and well above continuous reach of children, it should cause no harm to anyone. We do recommend thoroughly washing hands after installation. Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by No bulb Even though the description says no bulb included, it's terrible that they don't include it. It makes you take the extra step of going out to buy a bulb. If it was a normal bulb it would be ok, but this one is a specialized size. Why not include the bulb and charge for it? July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I put in kitchen over sink, it looks great and puts out good fluoresent light. Had it installed by professional due to my age, did not want to get on ladder. January 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Simplicity The product's simple design makes it perfect for a guest bath, giving it a spa-like feel. October 7, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dim Dim Dim Looks nice but the brightest bulb I could find for it is nowhere nearly strong enough for a very small bathroom. Don't waste your money unless you're somehow using it in tandem with other lighting. Will be exchanging for something else. July 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sleek & Classy! Have been remodeling a 1960's era condo for the past couple months. The rooms are small-ish so I've been trying to use fixtures that are simple and clean. Ordered one of these for use over the vanity in the tiny master bath. Wow! This fixture is well made, looks like something you'd see in a nice boutique hotel AND it's energy efficient! I realize some people don't like the old-fashioned tube fluorescent type light fixtures... this one may change your mind. Just ordered another one for the main bath. September 5, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor lightting This looks great but does not give off enough light in my bath area. I returned them for that reason! April 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great look and product for the price I would say for the price, this light is worth it. Our bathroom is not big by any means but this light gives enough light without being too bright. If you are looking for tons of light then don't get this light. It gives the perfect amount of light for our bathroom. The quality is good and easy to install. Well built. Over all, I would recommend it. November 20, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by not just for the bathroom We needed a light for over our kitchen sink that would provide plenty of light without glare. This fit the bill perfectly. It's easy to clean, and it looks modern without looking too severe. It was easy to install, too. October 16, 2012
